After what happened between Nate and his Sister, Nate decided to leave the house and go to the club where his friend, Bien, works.
He was so upset with Clerophine and also confused why Margarett sided with her even though Clerophine hurt her; on the other hand, he was also happy that he married a very kind woman.
“What’s up? Why are you suddenly coming here?” Bien asked as Nate sat in front of him. He was busy doing his job as a bartender,
“Just wanna unwind.” He answered. “One shot of tequila.” He added and looked around. “There are so many customers here. Where is your buddy?” He asked and looked at his friend again.
“He’s late again, as usual,” Bien answered and gave his order.
“How’s life?” Nate drank the tequila and put down the shot glass.
“Stressful at the same time, still adjusting,” Nate answered. Bien laughed; he knew his friend was already married. Nate invited him, but sadly, he didn’t come to the ceremony as he had work during those times.
“How’s your wife, bro? Is she good?” Nate suddenly smiled as Bien asked her this question; Bien smirked and curved his lips as he saw how his friend smiled at his question.
“This dummy is already in love.” He said in his mind and kept arranging some bottles of alcohol.
“Yeah,” Nate said.
”You’ve fallen in love with her already, right?” His friend asked. Nate leans on the table and scratches his head.
“What are you saying? Of course not.” He denied so his friend laughed.
“Dumbass, I know you’ve already fallen for her. The way you smiled while I asked the question.” Bien scolded him.
“Is that so?”
“Yes, so, how is she as your wife?” Bien asked the question again.
“She’s good.” He answered. “Although we’re new, she will be a good Luna in my pack. ” He added.
“How did you say so that she is good?” Once again, he smiled and looked at his friend.
“Why are you asking those questions?” He asked, not removing the smile on his lips.
“Why? I just want to know if your arranged marriage with her is worth it.” His friend answered.
“Well yeah, it’s worth it since she didn’t interfere with my businesses, she always just complains about minor things, and you know what, she has this funny movement and weird gestures.
“You know what, just keep your eye on her. We still didn’t know if she was an enemy or on our side.” His friend suddenly said, so his smile faded away.
“What do you mean?”
“Well, you know your Beta came here earlier. An hour before you arrived, he told me his feelings about your wife and said that his instinct is strong and can’t be wrong. He simply tells me he feels something weird about your wife.” His friend said, so his aura suddenly became severe.
He suddenly thought of what if Rayver was right. He still needs to at least keep his guard so that he can’t be fooled by someone again.
He knew that Rayver just wanted to protect him. He takes a deep breath and looks up at the ceiling.
“Do you think Margarett will do what Eille did to me?” He suddenly asked. His friend became severe when he heard the name ‘Eille.’
“I don’t know. Maybe Margarett is not like her.” Bien answered.
Nate suddenly remembers Eille.
Eille was supposed to be his mate. She had been his girlfriend for 3 years but still betrayed him as Eille chose another guy instead of him. Eille also exposed his secret to Vougch Clan, causing chaos between the two clans.
Eille betrayed him two times, and that was the reason why he had a trust issue.
“Look, Nate. Eille and Margarett have a big difference. You just told me earlier that Margarett is good. ” Bien said.
“Nah, bro, I just can’t stop thinking about what if Margarett will also betray me? What if Margarett is just like Eille.”
“We never knew, bro. Just think more positive than negative. You know people have their own attitude.” Nate looked at his friend and smiled.
“I am so very thankful that you became my friend.” Nate suddenly said that’s why Bien laughed.
“Yeah, me too. I never knew we could be friends, even though you punched my face because you thought I was the person you sought.” Bien said while laughing.
Nate laughed as he remembered how he punched Bien the first time they’d met.
On the other hand, Beatrice locked herself in their room and started planning to move when Nate’s adopted sister was in the mansion with her.
She’s so irritated as she remembers how that spoiled Clerophine pulled her hair.
“That damn spoiled brat, I will surely dig six feet under for her and bury her body.” She said while looking in the mirror.
“Ms. Beatrice.”   Mark suddenly connect to her using the mind link.
“What?”
“Did you know anyone named Eille?”  Mark asked. Beatrice frowned.
“Eille, what?”
“Eille Sandoval?” The frown on her face suddenly disappeared as she heard the full name.
“Yes, she’s my friend. Why?”  She asked.
“She was looking at you here in your house.”  Beatrice suddenly turned around as she heard it.
“Is she there?”
“Yes, Ms. Beatrice, I told her to wait because I will call you, she’s looking at you; should I tell her to go there?”
Beatrice suddenly smiled, and finally, Eille was back.
Eille is her friend from high school. She and her sister Margarett are the ones she’s been trusting and ranting about some stuff that happened to her. She treats Eille as her second sister because, just like Margarett, Eille is always on her side. Even though she makes some mistakes, Eille always understands her even though she could be faster to handle.
“Yes, please, tell her to come here by tomorrow. I would like to meet her and introduce her to Nate.”  Beatrice said while smiling.
She’s so pleased that her long-time friend finally returned after many years of staying in Vacrat City.
