“”Your what?” Clerophine asked Nate, She thought what she heard was wrong. It’s impossible that Nate would marry another girl.
“My wife,” Nate repeated his words, Clerophine laughed and pushed his arms.
“You’re so silly,” Clerophine said, but Nate stared at her thoughtfully, so she stopped and looked at Beatrice.
“You are kidding, right?” Clerophine asked.
Nate shook his head. “Nope. I am not.” He said, Clerophine suddenly walked closer to Beatrice and scanned her like a robot from eyes to nose to mouth to her body.
“Nate you must be kidding me, why would you marry her?” Clerophine asked. She’s mad now.
“Why would not?” Nate asked Clerophine, “She’s pretty and powerful.” He added. She rolled her eyes.
“Gosh, Nate, what kind of demon possessed you to marry her?” Clerophine asked and crossed her arms
“Why is there a problem?” Beatrice suddenly asked, so Clerophine looked at her.
“Yes, there is.” Its answered. “First, Nate is mine. Second, Nate is only mine.” She added. Beatrice’s brows frowned at what Clerophine said.
Did she hear it right? Did Clerophine say that Nate is only for her? What does she mean? “Does Clerophine like Nate?” She asked herself.
“You know what, if you want money or anything, do tell me so I can give it to you, and you can leave the house today,” Clerophine said.
“Clerophine, what the fuck is wrong with you?” Nate asked his sister, irritated. He’s mad now because of what she was saying to his wife.
“Why did you marry her, Nate? Why don’t you just call me and marry me instead of her.” Clerophine said. Beatrice suddenly laughed at her mind. What she was thinking about Clerophine earlier was correct.
Clerophine is Nate’s adopted younger sister, their age gap was 10 years. And Clerophine was in love with his brother.
The day that Clerophine had adopted and seen Nate for the first time made her heart beat fast for him. She believes that what she feels that day is ‘love at first sight’ and that Nate is her true love and her Mate. She was just 10 years old when Nate’s family adopted her from the home of loss. She was thankful for those times that Nate’s parents adopted her because if not, she would not meet Nate.
On the other hand, Nate knew that her adopted sister was in love with him, but as he always told her, what he thought and saw of her was only a sister, no more special feelings.
In fact, Clerophine became obsessed with Nate, fantasized about Nate, and imagined Nate becoming her Mate in the future. She became obsessed with her brother, which made Nate dislike her. He can’t stand seeing Clerophine near him because of how she acts.
But today, Clerophine needs to stay at Nate’s mansion as their parents ordered Nate to keep her first in his home before Clerophine goes to Micax to study.
“Clerophine, can’t you just be normal in front of my wife?” Nate asked; Clerophine looked at Beatrice.
“No, that’s not true, you can’t marry her! I’m supposed to be the one who will marry you!” Clerophine shouted at Nate and aggressively grabbed Beatrice’s hair.
“Hey!”
“What the fuck was wrong with you!” Beatrice asked while trying to take off Clerophine hands on her hair. “Let go of my hair!”
Nate goes between the two and pushes Clerophine full force from Beatrice. As Clerophine let Beatrice’s hair go, Nate slapped her hard, shocking Beatrice as she saw how Nate hit his sister.
“Nate!” Beatrice called his name as he choked Clerophine.
“Put her down, Nate!” She said and grabbed Nate’s hand. “Nate, I said let her go!” Beatrice shouted and pushed Nate away from Clerophine.
When Nate let go of his sister, Beatrice helped Clerophine to stand and looked at Nate badly.
“What the hell is that? You’re hurting your sister.” Beatrice said angrily to Nate.
“Because she hurts you,” Nate said.
“That’s not enough reason Nate. You should not hurt your sister because of me.” Beatrice said. The thing is, what she said to Nate is true, her concern for Clerophine was genuine. She can’t stand seeing a sibling fighting; she and Margarett never fight and hurt each other physically. She can’t stand seeing a sibling hurting each other.
“Don’t fucking touch me,” Clerophine said to her and pushed Beatrice away from her. She looked at Nate and Clerophine.
“These two motherfuckers can stand hurting each other. What kind of bond do they have?” Beatrice asked herself.
“Don’t you fucking there to hurt my wife again, Clerophine? Put yourself in the right place. You are in our territory. Once you hurt my Luna, I will surely fucking hurt you twice as how you hurt my Luna.” Nate said seriously to Clerophine.
Beatrice suddenly stopped at what she heard from Nate.
She can’t believe that Nate is protecting her and is willing to hurt even his adopted sister just to protect her. This kind of act Darwin never did from her.
She looked at Nate, his face was serious, and her aura was dark. She never thought that Nate would be this kind of protective of her.
“She’s your sister, Nate,” Beatrice said.
“Can you shut the fuck up bitch, Don’t act like you’re nice,” Clerophine told her. Beatrice just gives her a death glare and puts her gaze on Nate.
“You should protect your sister before anyone,” Beatrice said. She swallowed, remembering she didn’t protect her sister Margaret from Nate’s hand.
“I don’t care. That brat should know her place.” Nate said and turned his back on her and then walked away. Beatrice just watched him walk away.
She clenched her fist as she suddenly felt angry at him. She suddenly remembered her sister.
“You can now show me your true color, witch,” Clerophine told her. She just glanced at her and rolled her eyes at her.
Clerophine laughed a little as Beatrice rolled her eyes on her.
“I knew you just wanted power from my brother.” She said. “And want money from him. Tell me the price I will provide so you can go away.” She added. Beatrice laughed a little.
“Can you stop being so shit? No one wants your money or your brother’s power. Just accept the fact that he marries me and not you.” Beatrice said and smirked and then crossed her arms.
Clerophine suddenly irritated her.
“I knew you were a bitch.”
“And I knew you’re a witch,” Beatrice said to her, bumping Clerophine’s shoulder as she passed by.
