THE CEO ALPHA KING (-Back in L. A-)

“So you are leaving early tomorrow morning?” Anna stood by Serena’s side in her room as she packed up the clothes she brought from L. A and the new set of designer wears Carol had gone to buy with her.
“Yes, 5 A. M tomorrow. They’ll be coming to pick me, that’s what Carol said.” Serena replied, smiling lightly.
Anna took a deep breath in. She sat down on the bed and folded her arms.
“I can see that you are thrilled.” She mouthed.
“Of course I am. I’ve been doing everything I was told to do obediently because I want to return home. It’s not that I don’t like here, but it’s just that there are few people I know here, and my brother is not also here.” Serena explained.
“Yeah, we’ll have to be separated. I’ll really miss you,” Anna hushed.
“Hey, come on. You can come over to visit, and if I am allowed, I’ll come to see you too. Besides, I’m sure you have other friends here. Chris is even going to be released tomorrow. Cheer up, girl.”
“Chris?” Anna scoffed. “I’ve changed my mind about him. Although I still feel something for him, I don’t think whatever I’ll continue with him will last anyways. It’ll die down in weeks. I’ve decided not to waste my time on things like him and move on. Maybe I should become a model Chef. I could also undergo training like you did to become more beautiful. What do you think?” Anna asked excitedly.
“You! Become more beautiful? You can never become more beautiful than I am. Stop kidding yourself.”
Anna rolled her eyes at Serena.
“Proud bitch,” She cussed.
“I don’t want to be in the same town with you. You’ll steal all the boy’s heart and will leave us girls alone. I’m happy you are leaving,” Anna hissed.
Serena scoffed. “Look at you, I know you’re lying, and you’re also jealous because I’m much prettier. I know you also don’t want me to leave you. Stop lying to yourself,” Serena eyed her.
“No, you stop deceiving yourself. Who wants you to stay?? I’m going.” Anna half yelled, then stood up and left her room.
Serena chuckled as she watched her leave.
“Look at her acting like a kid.” She clicked her tongue and went back to packing her clothes
Minutes later.
Serena and Anna sat in front of the television watching a Korean movie drama titled K2 on Netflix.
“I love this movie. It’s full of life and action,” Serena said as she ate from her bowl of noodles.
“I don’t like this movie much. I prefer erotic movies, sex, nudity, and…”
“Shut up! You are so spoilt,” Serena snapped at her.
Anna turned to glare at her.
“Who are you telling that? Anyways, why on earth did you cook Noddles? By tomorrow morning, your face will be all swollen, and you will look pretty ugly.” Anna said.
“I’ll exercise before sleeping, dummy. It won’t affect my face, don’t worry and let me see this movie. The guy is so so cool. I wish I could see him in person,” Serena said dreamily.
“Keep dreaming and let your precious King learn of it. He will regret spending so much money on you.” Anna hissed.
Serena ignored her and focused all her attention on the television screen.
*The following day.*
Serena finished preparing everything. She came downstairs with her luggage.
“Funny how you didn’t have so much luggage when you came. See you leaving with so much,” Anna said, descending the stairs.
“Yeah, I know. The past three months have been filled with a lot of events. I’ll really miss you, Anna.” Serena flashed a toothless smile at her.
“Do you mean that?” Anna gave her a severe face. Serena left her bags and went to embrace her.
“Silly girl. You are still my friend, no matter how I act now. You will continue being my first official friend. I won’t easily forget you.”
Anna hugged her back.
“Me neither. I’ve had a lot of friends but none like you. You are so much different and kind-hearted too. No matter how much they want you to change, you’ll continue being that Serena that is soft and kind-hearted deep inside, I believe that.”
Serena chuckled. “Silly girl,” she muttered and pulled away from the hug. Just then, car horns were heard.
“Let me help you. I’ll leave after you.” Anna went to pick two of her luggage.
Serena picked the remaining luggage and her handbag. They walked out of the Mansion. They approached the car that Beta Adam had arranged to take Serena to the airport.
Serena got into the car after settling her luggage into the boot.
She bid a final goodbye to Anna before the driver pulled into the street. Anna kept waving until the car was no longer in view.
Serena relaxed her head against the seat of the car and closed her eyes. She hadn’t slept a wink because she was too excited to return back to L. A.
The driver drove for a long while before they got to the airport. The driver helped her with her luggage after handing her passport. Serena thanked the driver and started walking towards the flight attendants.

Serena, after passing through the airport security checkpoint, sat alone beside the window. Beta Adam had asked his men to book a seat at the VIP lounge for her.
She closed her eyes and waited for the journey to begin.
“Hello, miss, can I sit beside you?” Serena heard a voice ask.
She turned to look at the guy standing and staring at her.
“You can.” She simply replied and took her eyes to the window.
“Woah, it’s as if I’ve met you before. Are you a model or an actress?” The guy questioned.
Serena turned to glare at him.
“Oh, forgive my manners, I’m Vincent, and I’m from England, Miss,” The guy introduced.
“I didn’t ask for your name, did I?” Serena asked rudely.
Vincent smiled softly.
“I’m very used to your type. Anyways, I have a company of my own in England, and I saw you at the security checkpoint. You look so perfect, and I could love you to be the face of my company,” Vincent explained.
“Not interested,” Serena mumbled, closing her eyes again.
“Uh, this is my card. You can contact me in case you change your mind,” Vincent said, handing the card over to her.
Serena reluctantly opened her eyes. She eyed him before collecting his card.
“And by the way, you look really beautiful,” Vincent complimented before leaving.
Serena watched as he left.
She looked down at the card, opened her handbag, and dropped it in before closing her eyes again.
Who is he anyway? He looks so handsome, but unfortunately, I can’t be kind to him. Serena thought.
“Of course you can. You can flirt with him without King Zed knowing of it. Although it will be tough to hide such things from him, and oh, a lot of guys will equally do what this guy just did and more.” Aya, her wolf, said to her.
Serena smiled.
“Of course. Of course.” She agreed with her wolf.
So many hours later, the airplane finally landed.
It was already 3 P. M. Serena came down from the airplane with her luggage. Carol already told her that someone would be waiting for her at the airport. All she had to do was, get there with her luggage.
Serena wondered how she was going to get there with her luggage. She was made to think when a voice came to her.
“Miss, do you need help with those? I can help.”
Serena lifted her eyes to look at the security guard there.
“Um… yes, thank you.” She replied.
“It’s my pleasure to help such a beautiful lady like you. The security guard said as he started moving all her luggage.”
Serena followed as he guided her to the waiting point with her luggage.
The guard smiled at her before letting go of her luggage.
“I appreciate,” she thanked him.
She stood there and waited for a few minutes before two security guards Serena recognized walked up to her.
One was holding her picture up. Not the image of her old self but her new self. Serena wondered how her picture got to them.
“Are you miss Serena?” One of them asked.
“Yes, I am,” Serena answered. She wondered why they were admiring and at the same time staring at her like she was a stranger.
“We were ordered to get you.” The other said.
They took her luggage and escorted her out to a black Jeep.
One opened the door for her, and she got into the back seat. They also got in and ignited the car engine before driving away from the airport.
Serena brought out her mirror from her bag to examine her appearance. She had fallen asleep during the flight but reapplied make-up to her face after waking up. She just wanted to make sure that her make-up was perfect on her.
She couldn’t afford to look imperfect.
“Miss, are you by chance the Serena we know? Um… Isaac’s sister and the King’s personal slave?” One of the guards turned to ask her.
Serena kept quiet for two minutes, making both of them anxious; she felt their nervousness.
No one has ever been too nervous and anxious around her before.
“Do you think I am here?” She retorted.
The two guards stared at each other before turning to look at her again.
“No, of course not. You don’t look anything like her. We don’t believe she is you,” the one driving replied.
“Then so be it. Don’t ask me any more questions.” Serena instructed.
The two guards looked at each other again before shutting their mouths up. They concentrated on the journey, and throughout, they didn’t utter a singer word.
They got to the gate of the King’s estate and entered. They also reached the first gate of King Zed’s castle and were let in; they passed the second and the third gate with much delay.
They got to the parking lot and parked the car there.
The security guard that didn’t drive quickly got down and opened the car door for her, and she came down from the car.
She wore on the sunglasses which she brought out from her bag.
“Bring my bags in.” She instructed the guards as she walked towards the doors of the castle.
Two guards, as usual, stood in front of the castle door.
She got to them, turned to look at each of them without uttering a word.
“Oh yes, yes,” one of the guards said and opened the door for her to enter.
She got into the castle to see a servant approaching the door.
She stopped him.
“Is king Zed in?” She questioned.
“Um… no, he is isn’t.. but his Beta is up, should I…”
“No, I can get to him myself.” Serena interrupted and said.
She walked past the servant and started heading towards Beta Adam’s room.
She got to his room and knocked; she waited to see if he’d answer her but didn’t hear any movement from his room. She figured out that he wasn’t in.
She decided to let her wolf guard her to his. Ada led her to King Zed’s office.
She got to king Zed’s office and knocked on the door.
“Come in,” Beta Adam’s stern, cold voice ushered her in.
She took her hand up to the door handle, took a deep breath before opening the door.
She entered and closed the door behind her to see Beta Adam looking through the documents in the King’s office.
“Serena,” Beta Adam called, turning to look at her.
“Look at you.” He smirked.
“Adam,” Serena called back.
Beta Adam chuckled.
“That’s the spirit. I like the new you. I’m sure king Zed will love the new you.” Beta Adam said, taking a seat in front of her.
