Chapter 68: UNLEASHED FOR REAL

Book:Mated To A Vampire Published:2024-6-4

“I really missed you, Rose.” Sophia clutches onto me once we get inside the class.
“Awww… baby. Buttercup.” My cheeks flush and I blush inwardly. “I missed you too. Where the hell have you been?”
“Well, this all started when you throttled my neck…” She demonstrates. “… and you said you didn’t want to but you have to.”
“So you still remember?” I roll my eyes at her, and she chuckles softly.
“Yes, I do. Why you would want to kill me with that dagger will soon be revealed.” She says, and my heart leaps in my socket. I try to hide my fear but once she notices I’m freezing up, she chuckles inwardly. I can detect that.
“We gotta look for others. Martha. Jessica. Anna.” She says, and heads towards the door but I drag her back to a chair and she lands her ass on the chair with force.
“Are you trying to fight Robert again now?” She tells me, reminding me of how I landed her on the seat when Robert asked her to come with him. When I fought Robert and we ended up in a beer parlour.
“How come you remember every single detail?” I ask her, cunningly.
“Well…” She shrugs. “Maybe I’m a kind of great being.” I notice the change in her speech. She had wanted to tell me the secret but she quickly switches to another topic. I screw that but write it in my mind – she’s got a secret in her mind.
“Okay dokey. But going back there to look for Martha and others are not worth it.” I tell her and she opens her mouth wide.
“Aren’t they…” She says but I cut in.
“They are not. They are not our friends. Throughout our wandering in the forest and torture with Ben and Jude, they didn’t give a fuck.” I add.
“Even their clones didn’t appear. I heard Maxwell’s and Robert’s clones appeared.” She nods her head. “Good. That’s to say their minds are not with us at all.”
“But we gotta screw that.” She tells me, and snaps her fingers.
“No, we won’t. Unless we are not going to look for them or attend their damn ceremony.” I instruct.
“Vampires are tough. Real tough.” She scoffs.
“What are you insinuating?” I retort.
“I can insinuate anything.” She stands to her feet. “Rose, don’t tell me you are not going to attend their coronation just because they didn’t look for you?”
“I’m puzzled.” I stand up as well. “What the hell are you saying? What has come upon you? Is that what you call JUST!” I yell at her.
“Your voice is coming high in pitch.” She tells me and sits down again. I do the same and rub my chest.
“I don’t have tolerance for cheating, Sophia. We are not attending their marking coronation.” I clip.
“Okay, bye, don’t go.” She says, and stands up. “I will go. I will look for them.”
“And make sure you look for your mate too.” I add, and bury my head on the desk near me.
“Thank goodness, tomorrow is December 25. Many people will get mated, I’ll use that method to track them down and maybe get my real mate.” She scoffs, and rests her back on the door.
“Hey, don’t try to find any stupid mate. You heard all what your Dad and Mum and Robert said!” I suddenly release my head from the table, and bark at her. She points at me, and scoffs.
“You said I should ensure that I get my mate.” She says. “And I’m not begging you to help me get my mate. If I have any questions as my parents have said, I will go and meet Robert.”
“After all, that’s what would have happened if you didn’t return here.” She adds, and jerks the door open.
“Bye for now. Meet you in class.” She says, and darts towards another class room. I gently tiptoe after her and I lock the door behind her. Through an opening in the window, I peep at the direction she’s going, and the first thing I hear is her soliloquizing.
“As though she’s my school mother. She shouldn’t have even returned.” She soliloquizes, and enters a class as she jams the door shut. I follow after her without her knowledge and as she enters the class, I go to the backyard and watch every thing she will do and say.
“Jude.” She clips, and drops a stone on a table near her.
“Ben.” She says, and drops another stone on the same table.
“Maxwell. Or whoever Luna chooses for me.” She says, her voice breaking. My mouth goes agape, how come she knows the third option? I think her wolf has the ability of hearing from a long distance.
“Please, out of the three of you…” she cries with control and sniffles. She goes on her knees and bow her head to the ground multiple times. “… I only want Maxwell.”
“But he’s only an Omega. No. Just a wolf. He doesn’t have any position. This coming session, both Maxwell and Ben will compete to be the Alpha of the moonstruck pack and it has been said that Ben would win. So, there’s no need going after Maxwell unless she just wants to break his heart into pieces.
Then a thought drops into my mind making me exhale sharply. It is my intention thought. Why my clone was following after Sophia is not to my gain but to Ben’s, but my clone is now gone. So, Ben has to do this himself and he I’ll fully resume this next semester. Jude, alongside, lost my clone since he seized her to be with him so that she can get Sophia’s location. He will surely resume school in this school and he will also do this with all his member’s hands on desk next semester. My plan is to let Sophia get mated to someone less in power. That’s why I have been allowing her avoid Ben. My cooperation led to the successful creation of my clone though unknowingly but in a way, I can say I am one of those who tortured Sophia. I must make sure she doesn’t get mated to Jude or Ben. We will surely get to know the third person – I also don’t want her to get mated to Maxwell, you think he’s an ordinary world and so he should go. Nope. He has the ability to suddenly become a great Alpha.
This is because I don’t want to be a Beta under pack. Because, SplitMoon pack is planning to destroy and annihilate all packs. No, not annihilate but to let all pack surrender to them and be under them for life. Limited to California though. But no pack would want that, not even moonstruck pack which is destined to be a great pack.
I look back and it is dark already. The sky gives a dimly lit illumination and i peep on Sophia, she’s dozed off. Two great moons are bound to fight and the worst part is that they are both vampires. Those teams are Vampire teams, that will be tough, man.
Moon goddess, I’m sorry but maybe I’ll disobey you this time around, I can’t let go of my witch power. After all, I let go of it and it came back. And again, if it would slow down my getting my mate, I don’t give a damn. I don’t have a reasonable mate after all. Whenever he comes here, I’ll tell him he has been rejected. A mate staring at my nakedness and gulping. He is just a Beta of a destroyed pack, imagine. Not even of an active pack. And Sophia wants to get mated to a great Alpha? Oh my goodness, not possible.
We will both plan on how we are going to choose from the third option moon goddess gave. That third vampire – it must be a vampire, that is a key point. She is fated to be mated to a vampire, moon goddess has affirmed that already.
So, here I go, creeping into the class through the window. I’m professional, don’t ask me how I’m doing this. I creep up to her and instead of meeting a sleeping Sophia, I see her fully awake and dressed in black.
“Sophia?” I whisper, too shocked to believe she’s still up. She looks at me at once with fiery red eyes and thick grown claws sticking out of her eyes.
“Sophia? Anything?” I try to draw near. “Tell me, are you shifting?”
“No.” She clips, and growls uncontrollably. Then she returns to normal all at once.
“You betrayer!” She shouts at me. “You betrayer!” I shudder on hearing that.
“Why? How? It’s Rose?” I tell her and she starts to sob. I move close her but she yanks my hands and feet off of hers and i land on the wall with force.
Then with the mark she ripped my leg with, I notice. She has gotten the witch power, and automatically, she has heard all what I said.
Sophia now knows my plans. I am dead.
