Chapter 67: ROBERT AS REFERENCE

Book:Mated To A Vampire Published:2024-6-4

“I have one only a damn hour to myself. What did you all come for? You’re welcome, sirs and mas.” He says, sitting and resting his back on his official chair.
“As you can see, it’s Dylan.” Sophia says and Dylan nods.
“Oh, Dylan?” Robert says, and asks. “He’s back! That’s great! Oh wow but how?”
“Screw that. We came here and we are going soon.” Isabella says and the expression on Robert’s face changes.
“We heard that Sophia has gotten her mate. Could you please let us know who the mate is?” Isabella rants on.
“Oh, well, I promised to be her guide but um… right now, I don’t really know. Moon goddess only showed me three vampires. And one is hers. She told me she has been destined to be mated to a vampire.”
“You do hear from moon goddess?” Greg asks and he nods.
“You don’t hear from her?” Robert asks in return.
“Not at all.” Greg shakes his head but Dylan knocks hard on him and he lets out moans of pain.
“She appears to us but not frequently.” I tell Robert and he focuses on me.
“Sophia, remember? When you first came to this school, Rose wanted to have you as a mate…”
“That was my clone.” I shrug my shoulders.
“No, that is not what I mean. You were always being over protective. The day I asked Sophia to see me in my office, she couldn’t because you ordered her not to. So why do you need my help now? You even fought with me seriously.”
“I’m sorry then but can you please help Sophia out? She needs you.” I apologize.
Isabella takes it up from there. “As you have said, she has been destined to get mated to a vampire but who is the vampire?”
“Ma’am, listen and listen carefully. I am supposed to be preparing for the next session which is in a fortnight. I told you that moon goddess showed it’s three vampires.”
“Who the vampire is, is our question.” Dylan deadpans.
“About that, right?” Robert’s voice becomes cool. Maxwell stares at him in disgust but Robert doesn’t notice.
“I can’t tell you since a stalker is present here.” Robert says.
“Telling him to excuse us is better.” Sophia hisses, and helps Maxwell up.
“Please excuse us. We will get back to you shortly, okay?” She tells him and he obeys and walks out. I’m sure he’ll be eaves dropping. Or rather still, connecting through the wizard power.
“She is to get mated to a great Alpha.” Robert whispers, also thinking that Maxwell is dodging and eavesdropping.
“That guy.” He points at the door. “… he’s only a wolf and he is not one of the three vampires moon goddess showed me.”
“Whaattt…” I stifle, and shudder. I can’t believe my eyes, Sophia stares at each and everyone of us in confusion.
“Jude, the great Alpha of the SplitMoon pack.” Robert reads out loud. “Or Ben, the great Alpha of moonstruck pack.”
“Oh no, he’s not an Alpha yet.” Isabella counters him.
“I know but he will become the Alpha. It’s already revealed.” He expatiates.
“Who is the third person?” Dylan asks.
Robert becomes silent and after few minutes, he begins to sigh.
“Just tell us and don’t waste our time.” Isabella clips.
“Aahh. Um… Sophia should excuse us.” He says.
“On issue concerning me?” She objects.
“Oh, then stay and I’ll leave.” He fumes.
“No, don’t.” Dylan tells Robert.
“Sophia, please.” Isabella begs her and Dylan whispers into her ears, “I’ll tell you.”
She gets out of the office and slam the door behind her.
“Greg, follow suit.” Robert says, and he follows her. “Make sure she doesn’t go near that boy again.”
“Getting mated to that boy ain’t feasible.” Robert instructs Sophia when he notices her forehead furrowing for sending Greg after her.
He arranges the paper on his table and then he picks up a book and tears a part of it. He opens his drawer and brings out a pen.
“Anyone moon goddess chooses.” He writes on the paper and gives it to us.
“Anyone moon goddess chooses?” Isabella repeats, confused.
“Yes. And to be a moon goddess favorite, you have to be willing to do anything for her and your mate. I mean for both moon goddess and your mate.” He explains.
Dylan and Isabella sighs.
“But if you want that wastoid to get mated to your daughter, maybe you don’t want a vampire for her, then you can explain this to him. But I’m telling you, my spirit does not agree with him.” He says but yells in his last statement.”
“Just leave my office. Time’s gone.” Robert says, shutting his eyes.
“Robert.” I call him but he does not open his eyes.
“Please.” He clips, and faces me with eyes closed, “I can now drain your power. So beware and run away from me.”
We all stand up and leave the office. We head straight to the class room and Sophia runs after us.
“Do you think we should go home and discuss this?” Greg suggests.
“We can finalize it here. Nothing much to discuss after all.” I retort, and we all have our seats.
The curtains don’t protect our privacy now but no one notices until Robert brushes past the class. We all hide but when I notice he retraces back his steps, I come out to him.
“Rose?” He calls me, and jerks the door open. “What are you doing here?”
“Well, just to relax. From all the stress.” I retort.
“You are still a student, remember? I have the power to expel you so behave normally.” He says, and I nod my head sheepishly.
“And again, your friend, Martha is having her coronation. You are very stupid to have forgotten about your friends. You didn’t even care to look for them. You stupid brat, will you get your fucking ass outta here and join us in the meeting??” He howls at me.
“Okay, thank you. But they didn’t look for us either. So they are also stupid. The medium is, as well.” I retort, lowering my voice for the last statement.
“I need you right there.” He doesn’t say more than this, he shuts the door tightly and walks away.
Maxwell, Greg, Sophia, Dylan and Isabella pop out their heads.
“Is he gone?” Dylan whispers.
“Yes, he is.” I tell them, and drag down the curtains. I lock the door and return to meet the five others.
“We will be going home now.” Isabella says. “Sophia, be careful. This is not your right mate.”
Dylan adds in a harsh and Alpha tone.”Maxwell or what’s he called, is not your mate. BE careful.” He instructs hee and she shivers. Maxwell changes his mood as he sniffles repeatedly after forcing back the tears willing to drop down his cheeks.
“Let’s get you to the car.” Sophia says, her voice breaking.
“Yeah, sure. I also have some food stuff for you.” Isabella replies, and we get out of the room and bumps into someone. I know it’s Robert but when I look up, I see that is not Robert.
Jude. It is Jude. My mind flushes for a minute and I almost drop down and faint. Only one thing saved me – it was only hallucination but we all bumped into him in reality. That means it’s either his spirit is here or he has employed a spy on Sophia.
We get to the car and we see Karl dozing like a goat. We tap him and he demonstrates one-minute madness. Dylan gets into the car but Isabella opens the boot and takes all the goods and food stuff off of the boot as she gives them to Sophia. She opens her purse and gives her a thousand dollar note. She gives me $700 instead and i kneel a bit to appreciate that. They get into the car but Greg stops them.
“How about me?” He seems confused. “How about my getting mated?”
“Enter the car. We will settle that at home.” Isabella deadpans but Greg doesn’t agree. I and Sophia wave at Isabella and start to go inside the school. Immediately we look back, we can’t see Greg any longer – we peep inside the car and there he is, seated grudgingly.
“Should anything happen, Jude, Maxwell, or anything, Robert is there, okay?” Dylan says.
“You can also mind link us, Rose. On her behalf.” Isabella adds and I nod.
“I can’t wait to see her shift, mind link and get mated.” She says and smiles.
“Don’t let the witch spirit spread to her so her time of shifting won’t get delayed.” Dylan says. “We will check up on you as well. And I’ll send the money for an Android phone once you finish high school and write your exams.”
“Alright, thank you, sir.” Sophia says.
“Alright Sir, ma. Have a good one.” I wave at him and Isabella shifts the gear. They reverse the car and head home.
I drag Sophia from here to inside school immediately they zoomed off.
