Chapter 47: THE UNDEAD OBJECT VS BEN

Book:Mated To A Vampire Published:2024-6-4

“What… what the fuck is this? Oh my goodness!” I remark, and shift backwards.
“Rose, you okay?” I ask her, and she muffles a positive response.
“What was that?” She asks after she gets up and stares at me.
“I also don’t know. Will you try touching it again?” I ask her and she rolls her eyes at me.
“What the heck are you talking about? You want me dead?” She frowns, and once she said the word ‘want me dead’, my memory clicks – the encryption plastered on the object’s forehead UNDEAD.
“Rose, UNDEAD!” I yell at her and she shivers. “What do you mean?” After she says this, the objects starts to move again and it rolls on the ground and stops when it hits the wall.
“Who to call?” I ask her in hurry.
“I don’t know.” She replies and makes a move to go outside. “May I try mind linking Jude?”
“Yes, sure.’ I reply, and clutch onto her as the object rises up and stays till in the air.
“Be quick. It’s getting scarier.” I tell her but she only smirks. I run to the door (the door has been automatically repaired to its fuse by nobody) and as I jerk it open, it shuts itself before I can go out. I try it one more time but still, same thing. I look back with fear and I see a monster’s eyes glowing green and dark, illuminating this room thereby.
“Please, I beg of you.” I plead with the monster and it shifts back into the human form, it’s Rose.
“Are you that scared?” She smirks.
“No, I’m not scared.”
“Why were you pleading then?” She asks, and bursts into laughter.
:”Rose, this is no joke time. Do quick, and mind link Jude!” I scream at her, and my gaze fixes on the object still caught up in mid air.
“Mind link the fuck!” I yell at her again, and kick the door with my feet and fists but it doesn’t budge.
“Well, I tried to mind link him but it was only dropping. Maybe his mind link has been suspended or any other person has taken the control.”
“How?”
“As you know or should know, I can only mind link him as an Alpha of a pack and not personally.” She sighs. “He’s got his personal mind link but no one can access that unless he gives the person an acesss.”
I breathe out and sigh thrice. I sut my eyes, and open them again almost immediately.
“So, what do we do?” I ask but she shrugs her shoulders.
“I do not know. And as I have explained, his position as an Alpha is being trifled with at the moment.”
“Just let’s get out of here.” I bark at her.
“You don’t seem to care about his damn position as an Alpha.” She sighs.
“And as I said, let’s get out of here! I can only think about any goddammit positions when I get the fuck out of this eerie surrounded room!” I stress, and my veins threaten to pop out.
“Calm the hell down, and be cool. Okay?” She replies rather softly.
“So, let’s get out.” I repeat and we both kick the door with our fists and knees and heads and feet.
It doesn’t budge, at all! And as we try it for the last time, the object drops to the ground and the door becomes more difficult to open.
“Fuck!” Rose cusses, and squats.
“See, Rose.” I point at the object. “It’s fallen.”
“It’d attack us anytime soon.” She adds, and I shiver.
“Would you give Debe the control?” I ask her, bemusedly.
“Let me try to.” She says, and throws her head backwards. Her neck grows into a thick brown fur down to her navel and it stops. As she raises her head, I face another direction ’cause her eyes have grown thick and have dark green color components. Nearly moving an inch away, two horns shoot out of her head and she darts toward the object with needle-like fingers and sharp incisors. She gives the object a punch, and her claws land on the ground instead. She tries it again, but it only results in the atmosphere and the object lies flatly on the ground still, gazing up at the ceiling but now at her. The object drools and smirks as I move near the scene. I punch the object hard on the face but it doesn’t budge though there’s a difference. If Rose punches it, her claws would land on the ground but if I do, my hands would hit it but it wont budge. Rose thinks she’s noticed this before I do, so she shifts back into her human form.
“Rose, did you get that tip?” I ask her, now in her human self.
“Yes, I got it. But you didn’t get a secomd point.” She says, and nuzzles the object.
“And what is that?” I ask her, a bit shocked.
“As long as he’s up in air, the door will creak open.” She clarifies.
“How do you know that?” I ask again.
“You know we were trying to open the door”, she points at the door, “and it was much more difficult when this stupid dead folk fell.”
“I thought we came here to discuss and prepare for the other student’s coronation services.” I tell her, and she nods in disagreement.
“I propose we sit here and study the Vampire book given to all who have the vampire trait in them.” She tells me.
“Oh.” I exclaim. “Dad gave me that.” I say, and run to check the portable box.
“Don’t forget it isn’t yours.” She says, and sits on the object who’s trying to roll on the ground.
“Oh my goodness.” I remark. “Where is mine then?”
“Remember that Ben took it along when he kidnapped you and claimed you as his mate? Remember what he said in the class.” She tries to remind me but I only roll my eyes at her. She proceeds to where I am, and tries to dig her hands into my neck but I resist it.
“Don’t you do that.” I tell her, and shoo her hands away.
“So you now know that we use that to remind people of their memories?” She asks, and hits the object with an hammer.
“Don’t ask me, just let us sit here and talk sense.” I retort. I hear a quick snubbing sound behind the wall.
“Rose.” I call her.
“Yes? What is it?” She replies rather too calmly.
“Come over here, bitch.” I beckon to her and she creeps behind me.
“What do you see or hear?” She sighs, and flings the curtain to one side calmly. She returns the curtain to its original position and sighs.
“Did you see anyone?” I ask her, questioningly.
“Yes, I did.” She gasps, and sighs.
“And who…” I stutter. “.. is it?”
“It’s Ben.” She replies almost immediately and a knock is heard on the door.
