Chapter 678 Eavesdropping

Book:Mr. Brown's Sweet Wife Published:2024-5-28

Abbie’s obsession almost bored Kent, he glanced at her, his eyes cold, “For me?”
“Or what?” Abbie asked rhetorically, “I wouldn’t have done such a childish thing if it wasn’t for you!”
Ever since she was a child she would have everything she wanted, but it was this man who started playing tricks on her as soon as he broke into her heart, making her love and hate him at the same time, what could she do?
Scold, she couldn’t bear it, beat, she couldn’t.
So, the source of all this evil was the women who occupied his heart!
Thinking of this, a quick flash of hatred passed under those shrewd eyes.
Kent saw it for real, and the repulsion in his eyes deepened, “Abbie, I once treated you like my saviour, but that doesn’t mean I don’t have a bottom to my patience with you! This time is the last time, or else ……”
The man’s face was crawling with gloom, and there was no trace of warmth in his eyes, as if he was a king of hell judging people’s lives and deaths.
Abbie has never seen Kent really angry look, immediately frozen in action, she looked at him dumbfounded, a long time to come back.
“Kent …… are you trying to get real with me?”
Just for a Blanche?
“You made me do it first!”
Kent grunted coldly and stopped looking at her.
Abbie had fallen madly in love with the man called Kent when she met him, pestering him and saving his life when he was so sick of her that she nearly lost it.
She thought she could at least get a place in his heart, but she didn’t know that no matter how much she did, it would be worthless in his eyes!
And now he’s going out of his way to turn against himself over a little assistant of his!
“Kent, you know how powerful my father is, if you have to go against me too, I can’t guarantee that your future will be as unhindered as it is now!”
Even if this wasn’t G City, that didn’t mean she couldn’t do anything about it!
“Is that so?”
The woman’s threatening words fell on Kent’s ears as if they were tickling him, and he raised an eyebrow with interest, “If you’re really going to do this, you’d better tell me in advance so I know what to do.”
He had never been a good person, nor was he a good person who could hold back. He had put up with her for so long only because of the care and warmth he had received, but if she was determined to ruin him by doing so, then he was not the one who would just stand by and watch!
Abbie’s whole body shuddered as she met the no longer smiling eyes, “Kent, I swear, you’ll regret this, you will!”
She would prove that Blanche was nothing more than a worthless woman to him, that she was the only woman who could stand by his side enough to match him!
Kent shrugged indifferently, “As for regret, that must be an assumption for the future, in which case, let’s wait until that day.”
And until then, he wasn’t going to make any compromises!
Abbie almost gritted her silver teeth in hatred, she stomped her feet in anger, her ten centimetre high heels almost breaking, she glared at him fiercely, twisted her head and turned around and walked away.
The moment the office door opened, she collided directly with the woman who had been standing outside in a daze.
Blanche quickly regained her composure, while Abbie was furious as if she had been spied on, “Have you been eavesdropping in here all this time?”
Blanche shook and nodded her head, “At least, all that needs to be known.”
She said and looked at her with an added coldness in her eyes, “You’re the one who had me kidnapped?”
“It was me.” Now that she had been caught, she didn’t have the slightest intention of hiding it, she answered with a flourish, “But so what!”
Abbie grinned hideously and looked her up and down, “What I didn’t expect was that you were a taekwondo expert, if I had known, I wouldn’t have gone after those two scum!”
Blanche looked bemused, “If that’s the case, it’s a shame to disappoint Miss Burne.”
“That was only lucky for you! Next time, you won’t be so lucky.”
Her voice lowered a few notches and she pressed it purposefully against her ear, full of warning.
Blanche smiled calmly, “If Miss Burne is determined to deal with me, I will be there.”
Abbie was so disgusted by the pretentious smile on her face that she wanted to go right up to her and tear her face apart!
She gritted her teeth and dug her long nails deep into her palm!
The pain she felt was proof of how much she hated this pretentious woman in front of her!
“We’ll see about that! I won’t let you go!”
So what if Kent protects her, that doesn’t mean he can protect her for the rest of her life, there will come a time when he will let up and when he does, that’s when she will deal with her!
The more she thought about it, the more frantic her face became.
She could barely bear to see Blanche on her knees in pain, begging for mercy!
Blanche tightened her grip, trying desperately to look as good as she always did.
As she watched the familiar figure disappear in front of her, her nerves relaxed for a moment, and her legs held on to the door of the office for a moment before she could stand still.
At that moment, the person inside the office had already sensed her presence.
Quickly slapping her cheeks, she allowed herself to gather all her emotions and her rambling mood in the shortest possible time, and then pushed the door open completely with a cold face.
“Sir Lewis.”
Kent swept her up, slightly displeased at her sudden appearance, “When did you get here?”
Had he heard everything he had said to Abbie earlier?
The mind wondered.
Blanche quickly turned it into a smile and said softly, “Just got here, and then I ran into Miss Burne.”
“Lie!”
Kent shot her down, “You didn’t even hide the nervousness in your eyes when you mentioned her, tell me, did you just hear everything?”
Kent’s words had come to a head, so there was no point in hiding them, so she sighed softly and said, “Yes, I heard everything.”
“And? Do you have any idea?”
“Nothing.”
The man wrinkled his brow.
Blanche took a deep breath and said in a hushed voice, “The fact that Miss Burne is hostile to me is another matter, and I came to see Mister Lewis today for something else.”
“Tell me straight, then, what it is.”
“I ……” she hesitated, then as if with what determination, “I have come to apologise to you!”
