The dean looked at her as if she had come to understand something patted her shoulder got up and said, “I’m going to go and prepare the children’s dinner, you stay here and spend some time with the children and in the meantime allow yourself to think clearly about whether you have done anything wrong or not.”
Blanche nodded and watched her leave.
After a moment a small figure came up to her side and then sat down, Blanche turned her head to look.
Vincent had a straight face, “Are you angry?”
“Why do you say that?” She tightened her grip.
“Because I just saw you talking to Dean from afar, and you looked angry.”
Blanche froze, then wrapped her arms around him.
Vincent struggled for a moment, his little face flushed, “Sister Blanche, why did you just get angry, because of brother?”
Perhaps it was because Kent had specifically reminded him of this last time, so he was good enough to call out for his brother this time.
Blanche realised that the boy was perhaps more intelligent than she thought, and she looked down at him, her almond eyes bright, “Why was it because of him? Have you met him?”
“No, that’s because Sister Blanche came by herself.”
Something must have happened if they were suddenly alone and separated when they had all come together before.
Blanche couldn’t argue with that.
She curled her lips into a smile and laughed a little to herself, “Yes, he won’t even talk to me anymore because I made him angry, and he even sacked me!”
“But why did you get angry just now too?”
“I ……”
Blanche’s lips twitched and she bowed her head, “It was because I was so naive so I had no idea if I was doing the right or wrong thing, but I see now that I was the one who was wrong from start to finish.”
Kent was just angry with her, angry that she didn’t know how to repent.
Vincent didn’t understand the complexities of adult relationships and things, but even so, one thing was clear to him, “If you did something wrong, why not apologise?”
Kent was so nice, if she apologised, she would be forgiven.
“No way!” Blanche rejected the little one’s words without even thinking.
Vincent was confused again, “Why? Didn’t you say you were wrong? If you’re wrong, then you should apologise and repent.”
“That would be so humiliating for me!” Blanche said in frustration.
How could she soften her feelings and go back to him when Kent could have explained to her properly and told her where she was wrong, but instead he didn’t say anything and just dismissed her straight away?
Vincent shook his head, his little body nestled in her arms and said seriously, “But if Sister Blanche continues to be stubborn because she can’t save face, then maybe brother won’t really forgive you, in that case, will you be willing then?”
The child’s words always hit her right in the heart and crushed her.
She gritted her teeth, not knowing what to do.
The little one tugged at her shirt, “Sister Blanche, there’s no shame in admitting if you’re wrong, as long as it makes you both well, I don’t want to see you separated because you’re angry.”
“That’s not called separating!” Blanche immediately corrected his words.
It meant that it sounded like they had broken up, when clearly they had merely had a falling out with each other.
“Then what do you call it?” Vincent looked at her blankly.
Blanche was momentarily speechless, unable to say anything, but she quickly glossed over it.
She pinched his slightly red face and whispered, “Whatever it is, it’s not something you can just make up your own mind about, you understand?”
“Oh.”
Vincent nodded obediently.
Blanche was relieved to see that he finally understood, but the next moment Vincent tugged on her shirt again and said, “So are you going to promise to apologise to my brother or not?”
If he didn’t go, would he never be able to see either of them again, or …… would he never be able to see them together?
That would be unbearable for him just to think about, as if he was caught in the middle and didn’t know what to do.
Blanche bit her lip and looked at him without speaking.
Seeing that she didn’t answer, Vincent continued to press the issue with the air of a broken pot, “Why did Blanche sister upset brother?”
All he could remember was that Kent was a very gentle man who was kind to all the little children in the orphanage, and there wasn’t a single one of the children who didn’t like Kent.
“Because I made the worst mistake of all.” Blanche hugged him a few points tighter, “I’m sorry Vincent …… I obviously said before that I promised you that I would take care of myself but didn’t.”
In the end, she still didn’t cherish herself enough to feel that it didn’t matter ……
Vincent listened to her words and somehow immediately puffed up his little face and pushed her away, “If that’s the case, not only will brother be angry, but I’ll be angry too!”
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean it either.” Blanche had a guilty look on her face.
Vincent looked at her sincere look and immediately raised a wanton smile the next second, “Didn’t you say you didn’t want to go and apologise, sister Blanche? Well, haven’t you said sorry to me now too?”
Why was Kent the only one who didn’t want to?
Blanche’s eyes fell on the little one and soon seemed to understand something with a dawning smile.
She swept Vincent right into her arms and hugged him tightly, and the next second her red lips were pressed against his cheek smiling, “Vincent, thank you, I know what to do now.”
“Really?” Vincent was equally pleased.
Blanche nodded and patted his little head saying, “Anyway, just stay home and wait for my good news!”
“Mmmmmm!”
Vincent nodded heavily and Blanche dropped the last word, grabbed her bag and ran wildly out of the orphanage.
Inside the office, Blanche made her way unimpeded straight into the building, finally stopping in front of the office door, which was ajar, and the familiar female voice coming out from inside.
“Kent, this is just the beginning, I admit I did take a shot at that little assistant of yours and tried to pull a little trick to get her to understand.” Abbie said coldly, “But I do all this because of you!”
He talks about rejecting himself, but then he turns around and moves right into that bitch Blanche’s flat and even takes her to the orphanage!
God knows how madly jealous she was when she saw those pictures of them together, so all she could do was to retaliate and make that Blanche woman understand that Kent belonged to her and was not someone she could covet!
