Book:You Are My Mr Right Published:2024-6-4

“You don’t have to tidy up at home, I’ll do it when I come back. You’re a grown man, can’t handle these household chores.”
“You underestimate me. I’m pretty good at household chores, except for cooking.” Tyler chuckled and waved his hand. “You should go to work now, don’t be late.”
Luna looked at him, wanting to say something, but hesitated!
It was hard to put into words.
Their house had three rooms, and she wanted to suggest that he didn’t have to leave, they could set up another bed.
But how could she tell Tyler?
Or even if she did, how would Tyler react?
Being a wife.
Yet failing to fulfill her duties as a wife!
Making her newlywed husband set up another bed.
In the end, it was her who was not up to par.
She turned away, closing the door behind her.

Freya was on the sofa, holding Kai as she fell asleep.
She actually came back early today.
When Elijah came back and saw she was already home, he found it strange.
Lately, she had been coming home later than he did almost every day.
He walked over.
Freya opened her eyes.
She only half-opened her eyes, not in a deep sleep.
She woke up at the slightest sound.
Elijah bent down to pick up Kai, “Tired, go to the bedroom to sleep, it’s noisy in the living room.”
Freya whispered, “I’m not sleepy.”
Just played with Kai until she fell asleep.
She got up to pour a glass of water, Elijah carried Kai into the bedroom and put him on the bed.
Coming out, seeing Freya lost in thought, he walked over to her and asked, “What’s on your mind? Why are you so lost in thought?”
Freya snapped out of her reverie, put down the glass of water, turned to look at him, “I did something impulsive today.”
Elijah loosened his tie, sat on the sofa, unbuttoning his suit. He looked at her, “Tell me about it.”
Freya recounted what happened today.
Elijah frowned slightly after hearing it, “You were indeed impulsive. Sending someone to the hospital was taking responsibility, but performing surgery without family consent, and using an experimental artificial heart, if it failed and someone died, how would you bear that responsibility?”
Feeling nervous, Freya managed to hide it.
“The surgery was successful, but the danger is not over yet. Whether the person can survive is still uncertain.”
Elijah stared at her for a few seconds, and asked, “If you had a chance to do it over, would you make the same choice?”
Without hesitation, Freya said, “I would.” She did not regret her decision.
Not doing the surgery meant death!
If others didn’t understand, it was because they didn’t know.
She hoped Elijah would understand her.
“Since you’ve made your choice, don’t dwell on it. If something happens, I’ll take the blame for you.” Elijah said.
Looking at him, Freya felt some relief in her heavy heart.
This was probably what it felt like to have someone to rely on.
Warm and secure!
She walked over, sat beside him, leaning into his embrace, “It’s good to have you.”
“And only now you realize that I’m good?” Elijah raised an eyebrow.
Freya looked up, first seeing his determined jawline, then his sharp jawline.
“You’ve always been good to me.”
She smiled, playing with his collar, coaxing him with a hint of sweetness, “You should always, always be good to me.”
Elijah couldn’t help but smile.
A faint smile filled his eyes.
He indulgently pinched her cheek, “Okay.”
Freya tilted her chin up, gently kissed his jaw, then tried to kiss his lips, but noticed someone standing at the door of the room.
She was startled.
Her face instantly turned red!
Feeling a bit embarrassed.
Almost instinctively, she stood up from the sofa!
