“Mom, why are you walking so quietly?” Freya complained.
Elowen replied, “It’s because you were too focused and didn’t notice me. This is how I usually am at home.”
Freya, “…”
So, did she see when I kissed Elijah?
Being seen by her own mother, how embarrassing!
So embarrassing.
Elowen knew her daughter was shy and said with a smile, “I didn’t see anything.”
Freya, “…”
But she clearly saw it, right?
Otherwise, she wouldn’t have said that.
Elowen turned and went into the house, saying, “You two continue, pretend I’m not here.”
Freya, “…”
She was beyond embarrassed.
She was embarrassed at home!
She glanced at Elijah and said, “It’s all your fault.”
Elijah, “…”
Why was she blaming him now?
Wasn’t she the one who kissed him first?
What did it have to do with him?
Freya turned and walked upstairs.
She went into the room and lay on the bed, wrapping herself in the blanket.
Elijah came in, walked to the edge of the bed, and said, “Mom, it’s not a big deal if someone saw. Besides, you didn’t do anything, just kissed me.”
Freya ignored him.
He reached under the blanket and lowered himself.
Freya immediately pushed him away, saying, “I can’t breathe.”
Elijah chuckled, his hand reaching under the covers…
Freya peeked her head out, blinking, “What are you doing?”
Elijah calmly whispered, his voice low, “What are you doing, I’m doing.”
“What did I do?” she asked.
Elijah kissed her on the lips and then nibbled on her chin, saying indistinctly, “Kissing you.”
Freya put her arms around his neck, making up for the missed kiss by kissing him back!
Her hands began to wander, pulling at his clothes, unbuttoning his shirt…
Elijah looked down, his voice slightly hoarse, “Are you awake?”
Freya replied, “I am, …”
Her actions showed him she was.
She wrapped her legs around him.
Elijah held her waist with one hand and lifted her thigh with the other, carrying her into the bathroom…
They didn’t come out for a long time.
She was completely drained, and Elijah wrapped her in a towel and carried her out.
“Rest for a while, I’ll call you for dinner later.”
Elijah covered her with a blanket.
Freya’s tired eyes couldn’t be bothered to open, “Don’t call me, I want to sleep. I might not be able to sleep later.”
“Okay.” Elijah lightly patted her back, “Sleep.”
During dinner, only Elijah went downstairs.
Elowen didn’t ask anything.
It was Linda who didn’t know anything who asked, “Wasn’t the madam back early today?”
Elijah sat Kai in his special seat and replied, “She’s been busy these days and hasn’t rested well. I let her sleep, I’ll warm up something to eat for her later, she might be hungry when she wakes up.”
Linda nodded, “Okay.”
Kai pouted, “I want Mom to feed me.”
Elijah looked at him, “Feed yourself.”
Kai pouted, his eyes slightly red.
Elowen came over, saying, “I’ll feed you.”
Elijah didn’t let Elowen feed him, but carried him away from the dining room.
After a while, he brought him back, and whatever he said to Kai, when he was brought back to the dining room, he obediently ate.
Elowen said, “Children are small, sometimes they need to be a bit clingy to adults, it’s normal…”
She didn’t finish her sentence, feeling she had said too much.
Nowadays, people have their ideas about education, and she shouldn’t interfere.
“Alright, eat up.” She changed the subject.
At night, past one o’clock.
Freya woke up but couldn’t fall asleep.
She tossed and turned, waking up Elijah.
“Are you awake? Are you hungry?”
Freya shook her head, got up to find clothes, “I have to go out for a while.”
Elijah frowned, “It’s late, why are you going out at this time?”
