She tried to push away the heavy weight on her body.
But her strength was unable to move even an inch.
She opened her eyes.
A faint smell of alcohol wafted in.
She frowned softly and asked, “Have you been drinking?”
“Not much, just a little bit.” His head buried in her neck, he answered vaguely.
Freya pushed him again, “Heavy…”
Elijah kissed her neck while pulling at her clothes, not forgetting to reply, “Not heavy.”
His breathing became heavier and heavier.
Freya gradually lost herself in his breath.
She didn’t know how much time had passed.
She was too tired to move, feeling her arms and legs ache.
Elijah, however, was energetic, endlessly tormenting her.
“I still have things to do tomorrow…”
Before she could finish her sentence, he kissed her lips, silencing her words…
After a long time, Elijah finally let her go.
She lay limp under the blanket, motionless, hoarse, “Get me the medicine.”
Elijah opened the drawer, the box inside empty, the medicine finished.
He poured a glass of water and gave it to her, “The medicine’s finished.”
Freya then remembered, it seemed like the last pill she took was the previous time.
“Will taking this medicine be bad for my health?” Elijah tidied her messy hair.
“It’s fine, the side effects are minimal,” she closed her eyes, “I’ll buy another box next time.”
Having said that, she fell asleep.
Elijah wanted to ask her if there were any other methods or if he should take the medicine.
Seeing how tired she was, he didn’t ask.
He covered her with the blanket and went to take a shower.

As expected, Freya woke up late in the morning.
When she woke up, it was almost nine o’clock.
She hurried downstairs, and Elijah had already left.
Everyone had finished breakfast, Kai was playing in the living room.
Seeing her coming down, Linda said, “Are you going to eat now? I’ll heat up the food for you.”
Freya waved her hand, “No thanks.”
Elowen called out to her, “Even when you’re busy, you need to finish your meal before leaving. It won’t delay you much.”
Freya felt awkward.
Linda agreed, “That’s right, your health is important, listen to your mom.”
She looked at the two elderly people who cared for her, so she reluctantly stopped and went to the dining room to eat.
Linda brought all the dishes.
While dialing Neo’s phone, she kept putting food in her mouth.
Elowen walked over, took her phone, and hung up the call she dialed out, “Just eat.”
Freya…
She stayed silent and didn’t dare to retort, eating with her head lowered.
Linda stood by, smiling, “Even Mr. doesn’t dare to meddle in your affairs like this, thankfully your mom is here, otherwise, you’d be out of control.”
Freya…
She looked up at Linda, swallowed the food in her mouth, “Linda, why are you teasing me too.”
“We’re all doing it for your own good,” Linda said.
Elowen added, “That’s right.”
Freya shrank her head, okay, she gave in.
Only after finishing her meal did Elowen allow her to leave.
“Give me your phone,” she reached out her hand.
Elowen threw it into her hand.
She said, “I’ll be back earlier today.”
Elowen, in a huff, said, “Whether you come back or not, it’s up to you.”
Freya knew she had been busy these past few days and came back late.
Elowen was concerned not because of her work.
But for her health.
Leaving the house, she got in the car and had Eagle drive while dialing Elijah’s phone.
The phone was quickly answered, and on the other end was Elijah’s deep voice, “Up already?”
With a hint of annoyance, Freya asked, “Why didn’t you wake me up this morning?”
Elijah, sounding amused, replied, “You slept too soundly.”
“Why did I sleep so soundly? Because of you…”
She realized Eagle was still in the front, so she quickly quieted down!
There came a low chuckle from the other side.
Angered, Freya pinched Eagle’s thigh, “Come back earlier tonight.”
“For what?” Elijah asked.
“To settle the score.”
With that, she hung up.
Elijah looked at the disconnected call, raised his eyebrows, and smiled!

Evan arrived at Country M.
Since it was late, he decided to rest at a hotel for the night and go see Sacha in the morning.
Even though he had been on a long flight, he didn’t feel tired, his spirits were high.
Probably because he was about to see Sacha.
He followed Elijah’s advice and didn’t hide, instead waiting for her at her workplace.
Ready to meet her openly.
As Sacha arrived for work and saw Evan standing at the company’s entrance, she didn’t hesitate and walked away.
Seeing this, Evan chased after her!
