“Sacha.” Evan called out to her.
The more he called her name, the faster she walked away.
Evan ran up to her, grabbing her wrist. “Why are you walking so fast?”
His tone was light, not reflecting any emotions.
Sacha, however, couldn’t be like him.
She felt repulsed by Evan’s touch, always feeling dirty.
“Let go of me!” She said sternly.
Evan didn’t let go. “I came all this way to see you, and you’re avoiding me. It will hurt my feelings.”
He tried to make Sacha let go of the past.
In a gentle tone, he asked, “How about we watch a movie together tonight?”
Sacha remained unmoved, coldly repeating, “Let go!”
Evan still didn’t budge, smiling. “Okay.”
No matter how much Sacha tried to shake him off, in a moment of extreme frustration, she bit his hand, trying to make him let go.
But there was a taste of blood in her mouth, and Evan didn’t loosen his grip.
With a firm gaze, he looked at her and said, “You’ve bitten me before.”
In Sacha’s mind, scenes of her and Evan’s initial encounters quickly flashed by.
Looking back now, it all felt like a dream!
But she no longer had the same mindset as before.
She couldn’t be so heartless anymore.
She looked at Evan. “I’m not the same person as before…”
“You are you. You will always be the same in my eyes, unchanging.” Evan smiled, trying to hug her.
Sacha’s face turned deathly pale. “Don’t touch me!”
Hysterical, she scared Evan into letting go of her subconsciously.
Because of her outburst, many onlookers were drawn to them.
Unable to calm down, Sacha ran away frantically.
Evan snapped back to reality and quickly caught up.
This time, he didn’t dare to get too close, keeping a distance.
Seeing her head home, he finally relaxed.
Sacha ran back to her room.
Seeing her sudden return, Eric Lowe asked, “What’s wrong with you?”
Didn’t you go to work?
Today isn’t a day off, is it?
He worriedly knocked on her door.
“Knock, knock!”
“Sacha, what’s wrong with you?”
Sacha wiped her tears. “Dad, I’m fine.”
She was now consumed with self-blame and discomfort.
Blaming herself for yelling at Evan.
When Evan tried to hug her, she remembered the image of assault…
Her emotions were suddenly stirred up!
She didn’t mean to.
But she couldn’t act like nothing had happened and be with Evan.
She didn’t want to see him.
“Dad, do me a favor.” She said through the door.
Eric Lowe stood at the doorway. “What is it?”
“Evan is here, tell him that I won’t marry him, we’re breaking up, and he shouldn’t come looking for me again.”
Eric Lowe was taken aback.
It was Evan who came.
Her emotions were stirred up because of him.
“Okay, I understand. You calm down.” At this moment, Eric Lowe didn’t offer any comforting words because Sacha wasn’t in a calm state yet.
Anything he said would be futile.
It might even worsen her emotional state!
He turned and went downstairs, not far from home, he saw Evan standing by the roadside.
He seemed lost.
Eric Lowe walked over.
“Evan.”
Evan turned around, straightening his back.
He was a man.
No matter how much pressure he faced, he couldn’t show it in front of his elders.
“I came to see Sacha.”
Eric Lowe said, “Let’s go to the coffee shop!”
Evan nodded.
After sitting down, Eric Lowe spoke first. “Sacha needs time.”
He looked at Evan, hesitant to speak further.
