Book:You Are My Mr Right Published:2024-6-4

Wesley Donaldson got off the car and walked towards the entrance of the residential area. “Why did you come here?”
“Mr Donaldson,” Freya took a few steps forward.
“Do you have something to tell me?” Wesley Donaldson asked.
Freya nodded.
“Come, let’s go to my place. It’s perfect. We can have dinner at my place tonight,” Wesley Donaldson said.
Freya replied, “Let’s talk outside, in a quiet place.”
Wesley Donaldson stared at Freya, who seemed like she had something to say.
“Alright, there’s a noodle shop near my house, the sauce noodles are delicious, I often eat there. Today, it’s on me,” Wesley Donaldson said as he led the way.
Freya followed, “Sure, I’ll enjoy it then.”
Wesley Donaldson smiled, “Don’t be formal with me.”
The noodle shop was located right below the residential building, very close.
They arrived in two minutes.
Although it wasn’t a high-end restaurant, it was clean inside.
Wesley Donaldson ordered two bowls of noodles, along with soup and side dishes.
“Tell me, what’s on your mind.”
During the wait for the food, he asked.
Freya took out a check-up report from her bag and handed it to him, “I saw this in the office, it seems you forgot it there. I brought it to return it to you.”
Wesley Donaldson took it, and upon seeing his own report, he laughed and said, “I was worried that my family would see it. So, I left it in the office. I remember it was stuck in an unused file, and when I was cleaning up, I couldn’t find it. I thought I had lost it, but turns out, I didn’t.”
Freya looked at him, “Is this the reason you’re in a hurry to retire?”
Wesley Donaldson had a positive attitude, “Kind of, I’m afraid that if I suddenly leave one day without settling the matters at the hospital, it will be chaotic. I want to have a clear conscience.”
When Freya heard Wesley Donaldson mention the word ‘leave’, her heart clenched.
For a doctor, being helpless in the face of a patient’s illness is the greatest sorrow.
Wesley Donaldson patted her hand on the table, “Oh, see, I’m fine, right? I take good care of myself, so don’t let my mood fluctuate.”
“As a cardiologist at Wesley Donaldson Heart Research Institute, there are some diseases for which we are helpless. Can you imagine the despair of ordinary people who have this disease but can’t find any help? Don’t worry about me, focus on your research. That would be the greatest comfort for me. Even if I die one day, I’ll have no regrets.”
Being a good doctor, treating and saving people, was Freya’s childhood dream.
Of course, she hoped to make a greater contribution to the medical industry in the country.
At this point, the noodles arrived.
Wesley Donaldson said, “Eat the noodles while they’re hot, they taste better. Eat quickly.”
Freya looked at Wesley Donaldson, who was so optimistic, and realized she shouldn’t worry unnecessarily.
All she could do was strive to not disappoint Wesley Donaldson’s trust.
She took a bite of the noodles.
Wesley Donaldson asked, “Is it good?”
Freya vigorously nodded, “It’s delicious.”
When she hadn’t come to see Wesley Donaldson, she was very worried, but now that she had seen him, she felt relieved.
After the meal, as she was about to leave, Wesley Donaldson told her, “Don’t tell anyone at the hospital.”
He didn’t want to trouble anyone. Nor did he want anyone’s sympathy or worry for him.
Freya promised. She understood Wesley Donaldson’s feelings.
As she got in the car, she didn’t go back to the hospital. Instead, she went to a supermarket. It had been a long time since she had come early, and she wanted to buy some fruits on her way back.
At this time, the mall was quite crowded. Many parents were shopping with their children. She had never been with Elijah like that, bringing the children along.
Passing by a baby products store, thinking as a mother, Freya realized that she had rarely paid attention to her two children. All the items for the two children at home were provided by Elijah.
She stood in front of the store, thinking that she must be the most unfit mother in the world.
Balancing career and family was really difficult; she could only focus on one aspect at a time.
Freya took a step inside.
