“Dear Sister,
I have left, please do not try to find me. I am now an adult and can take care of myself. I know that you will be surprised to receive this letter, but please know that this decision was carefully considered.
I have taken to heart the words you have said to me, and I agree with them. I read something online that resonated with me – it said that if you fall in love with a butterfly that does not love you back, you will never catch it because it can fly. All you can do is plant flowers and grass to attract it to stay.
This sentiment is similar to what you have told me, both emphasizing the need to improve oneself in order to attract what we desire.
I am not sure if I can succeed, but I am determined to try and make a career for myself. Until I achieve success, I will not return.
I know that my chances of success are higher with you by my side because you can help me through my brother-in-law. However, I do not want assistance. I want to test my own abilities and see if I am capable of achieving my goals.
If I fail, I may not have the courage to come back, but do not worry, I will not give up on life. If need be, I will work hard. I will not lose hope.
The reason I did not call or text you is that I wanted to leave a trace of myself behind for you to remember me by. I have always wanted to tell you how grateful I am to have you as my sister. If only we were siblings by blood, our relationship might have been even better.
Farewell, Freya.
Zane”
Freya lowered her eyes after reading the letter and remained quiet for a while. Neo Miller couldn’t wait any longer and asked, “You asked me to come here. What’s happening?”
Freya snapped back to reality, folded the letter, and put it back in the envelope. “Do you know the address of Wesley Donaldson’s house?”
“What are you up to?” Neo asked, wary.
With a cold look, Freya replied, “What do you think? I’m just going to see him to discuss some matters. Don’t look at me like that.”
Neo sneered, “I used to have some good feelings towards you, but now that you’ve gained power, you’re starting to throw your weight around. Seems like everyone’s right to dislike you.”
Freya didn’t bother to explain. Today, she was in a terrible mood and had no interest in pleasing anyone, including him. “Less talk, tell me faster!”
Reluctantly, Neo provided the address, “Building 3, Unit 2, Apartment 506, Happiness Manor on Happiness Lane.”
Freya noted down the address and instructed Neo, “Sort these things out and place them neatly on my desk.”
With that, she took off her work clothes, put the inspection report in her bag, walked out, and stopped at the door. Turning back to Neo, she said, “Tidy up today, I’ll be back tomorrow, I hope the office is in order.”
Neo furrowed his brow, “Separately organize each item?”
“Yes.”
“With so much to do, how can I organize everything that quickly?”
Freya raised an eyebrow, “Show me your strength against mine.”
Neo hesitated, feeling like Freya was deliberately challenging him, but he couldn’t find any evidence.
…
Freya arrived at Wesley Donaldson’s house. At the entrance of the residential area, she hesitated before deciding whether to go in.
She didn’t know if his family was aware of his situation. If they didn’t know, knocking on his door without caution might cause trouble.
As she pondered, she heard a voice. And she looked up.
