Orion covered her mouth, ignoring her flailing hands, and forcefully pushed her into the car. “Start the car.” He commanded.
The car quickly pulled away.
Luna was extremely angry and bit down on his palm. Orion winced in pain, but he didn’t loosen his grip. He held Luna tightly and said firmly, “I will never let you go!”
Luna stared at him defiantly, “But I hate you, I despise you, I will never like you. Even if you hold onto me, you won’t get anything. Instead of wasting your time on me, go find another woman.”
“What nonsense are you talking about?” Orion’s anger was evident. “You are the only woman for me.”
“Is that so?” Luna clearly didn’t believe him. She felt that his display of affection was just a facade. She sneered and questioned, “Zane told me that you were married, that you had other women. Are all of those lies?”
Orion couldn’t argue back, he tried to explain, “That was something my mother forced me into. I have never changed my feelings for you. Even if there were betrayals, they were not of my own volition.”
Luna sneered, mocking him. “You can still talk about betrayal with such righteousness. I have to applaud your logic! According to your logic, can’t I also hurt you deeply and then say it wasn’t my intention, so the harm I caused you doesn’t count as harm?”
Orion didn’t continue explaining. He knew that once Luna believed he was a bad person, she would never trust him again. No matter how he tried to explain. Instead of wasting his breath, he should just stay silent.
The car soon arrived at the Russo family’s residence. Orion got out of the car and pulled Luna out as well. Debra was preparing to go out. When she saw Orion bringing Luna back, she rolled her wheelchair over and looked at Luna. “Everything that happened in the past was my fault. Don’t blame Orion. I hope you two can reconcile.”
Luna didn’t even glance at Debra. “Whoever tried to kill me, an eye for an eye, I will forgive them.”
Debra’s face paled. She had good intentions but Luna wanted her dead. And her determination was unwavering. With a woman like this in the house, wouldn’t it be a disaster? Debra seriously doubted it. But the present Orion was not the same as before. She couldn’t use forceful means to control her son anymore. Now, Orion was beyond her control. It seemed impossible to make him give up on Luna.
Debra took a deep breath, realizing that there would be no peaceful days in this family. She wheeled herself away. Orion dismissed the servants. Soon, it was just Orion and Luna in the room.
“Do you really have to go to such lengths?” Orion stared at her.
Without hesitation, Luna replied, “Yes.”
“Fine.” He picked up a fruit knife from the fruit platter and pointed it at his chest. “If I plunge this knife into my body, will it lessen your hatred?”
Luna panicked for a moment but quickly regained her composure.
Was Orion testing her with this?
No, she wouldn’t falter.
Although she had forgotten the past, she would never forgive someone who had harmed her. And she couldn’t be with someone who couldn’t protect her.
“Don’t play this dramatic act with me. If you want to stab yourself, go ahead. It would be best if the knife pierces your heart and you bleed to death. That way, no one will bother me or threaten me anymore,” Luna coldly said, heartless and ungrateful. She seemed as emotionless as an animal.
Orion calmly looked at her for a few seconds, then slowly closed his fingers, exerting pressure. He gazed at Luna and said, “I will repay everything I owe you. I just hope we can go back to how we were in the beginning.”
As the words fell, he suddenly exerted force with his hand!
