Elijah said he didn’t mind. But did he really feel nothing in his heart?
Freya began to doubt. She wanted to believe Elijah. If she looked at it from a different perspective, if the situation were reversed, she wouldn’t be able to have no thoughts in her heart either. However, she wouldn’t complain or doubt their relationship as it was natural to have reservations in his heart. Being human means having thoughts and feelings. She wouldn’t blame or resent. Both she and Elijah probably need time to lessen the impact of this incident.
Freya sat on the couch, tilting her head to look at the clock on the wall, whose sound resonating clearly in the quiet space. She glanced at her phone, hesitating for a moment, but ultimately didn’t pick it up. She lay down, covered herself with the blanket. Then she closed her eyes and fell asleep.
…
Orion originally wanted to confide in Evan, but Evan was too busy to spare any time. So he went to the company instead. It was just getting dark when he returned home.
Only his mother was at home. Luna wasn’t there. Orion immediately went upstairs and found that Luna’s belongings had disappeared again. His mind buzzed instantly.
Did she run away again?
Wasn’t she afraid that he would catch that couple?
He felt angry and helpless at the same time, and he could only go out and look for her.
The next day at noon, Orion found Luna at a restaurant, having a meal with Zane. Orion had never been so angry before, not like at this moment. Because everything Luna was showing proved that she might have developed feelings for Zane. Otherwise, she wouldn’t be so close to him.
Luna noticed Orion first. She just glanced at him casually, quickly averted her gaze, and casually picked up food for Zane. “Eat a little more.”
She smiled, showing great intimacy. This undoubtedly irritated Orion, who felt a throbbing pain in his nerves. But he had to suppress his anger and walk over.
Zane was still immersed in Luna’s kindness towards him. He also felt that Luna loved him. Otherwise, she wouldn’t be picking food for him.
“You should eat more too, you’ve lost so much weight.” Zane also picked up Luna’s favorite dish for her.
“Luna.” Orion walked up to the table. “Are you so happy without me?”
Zane heard the voice and quickly turned around. When he saw Orion, he immediately became alert.
“You really don’t give up, do you?”
Orion’s expression darkened as well. But he didn’t get tangled up with Zane, instead, he directly grabbed Luna’s arm. “Come with me.”
Luna struggled, “Let go.”
Zane stepped forward, “Let her go.”
Orion looked for Luna, and he came prepared. With a single glance, his subordinates knew what to do. They came forward and grabbed Zane.
Zane’s eyes widened in anger. “Let go of me!”
But no one paid any attention to him.
Orion dragged Luna out of the restaurant. “Come back with me.”
“Why should I go back with you?” Luna asked coldly.
“Because your savior is in my hands.”
“Are you sure?” Luna asked.
“What do you mean?”
Just then, Orion’s phone rang. With one hand holding onto Luna and the other reaching for his phone. He swiped to answer, and a voice came through quickly. “That couple is missing.”
It was a call from the person he sent to keep an eye on the couple. Orion frowned. He should have thought of this earlier. Luna dared to leave like this, so she must have no more concerns.
“I understand,” and hung up the phone. He looked at Luna. “Did Zane help you hide them?”
“I don’t know.” She struggled forcefully. “Let go of me quickly, or I’ll call the police.”
Orion’s gaze grew colder bit by bit. “If you want to report it, go ahead, but you need a chance for that.” After saying that, he hugged her tightly and pushed her into the car.
“Orion, let go of me!” Luna disregarded everything, punching and kicking him. “Help, someone, help me!”
