Luna was about to leave to find Zane. She needed his help with something. The two met at the entrance of the Russo family. They locked eyes for a few seconds, and Zane spoke first. “Orion went to find Evan. I knew he wasn’t here, so I came to find you…”
Luna stepped forward and pulled him to a secluded spot to talk. “I was just about to find you. I need your help with something.”
“What is it? Tell me, I’ll get it done for sure,” Zane vowed.
Luna gave him an address.
“The Roth couple saved my life. Every time I try to leave, Orion uses their safety to threaten me. I’m trapped by him, I can’t get away. Now I want you to hide this couple so Orion can’t find them.”
Zane cursed, “Orion, that despicable person!”
“Alright, hurry and go,” Luna urged, afraid that something unexpected might happen if he went too late.
Zane looked at her deeply. “Take care of yourself.”
“He won’t do anything to me. I can protect myself. Don’t worry. Once it’s done, call me,” Luna said.
Zane firmly replied, “I will get it done.”
“Thank you,” Luna said sincerely.
“Don’t be so formal when you thank me,” Zane looked at her. “I want to hug you.”
Luna hesitated. Last time he kissed her, it was because his actions were too sudden for her to react.
“Zane, give me some time. Let me handle the situation with Orion first, and then I’ll think about this matter properly, okay?” Her feelings for Zane were conflicted. She didn’t know if she had any feelings for him at all. This time, she took the initiative to find him because she had no one else to rely on.
“I understand.” Zane smiled and continued, “Call me anytime if you need anything.”

Adam went to the hospital, where the doctor treated his wounds. He had a bandage wrapped around his neck. It looked quite shocking. But he didn’t have time to worry about himself. He knew the situation must be very serious; otherwise, Freya wouldn’t have treated him like that, and Ronan’s mother wouldn’t have given him such advice. If Ronan couldn’t come back, the things he held in Eddie’s hands would appear on major websites. Now all he could do was wait for news. Besides, Ronan had instructed him not to tell Adam because he didn’t want to involve his cousin. But he forgot that ever since he started using Adam, Adam had already been involved.
“What exactly did he do?!” Adam became increasingly agitated. Being kept in the dark felt extremely uncomfortable. He closed his eyes and calmed down a bit, trying to speak in a steadier tone. “Look at my neck.” He pointed to his injury. “I was almost killed by Freya, you know?”
Eddie completely understood. He suggested, “You should leave the country.”
Adam furrowed his brows. “If I hide, will the situation be resolved? At least let me know what mistake I made.”
“Do you really want to know?” Eddie looked at him. “I’ll tell you, but you have to promise me to leave the country, okay?”
Adam thought for a few seconds. If he didn’t agree, Eddie probably wouldn’t tell him the truth. Now, in order to figure out what was going on, he could only pretend to agree.
