He dialed Ronan’s mother’s phone number.
“Auntie, where’s my cousin? I can’t reach him on his phone, and I can’t find him.”
The voice on the other end was very low, “If you’re fine, don’t look for him.”
“Why?” Adam Jackson asked, wanting an answer.
As Ronan’s mother, she was well aware of what had happened with the company. Ronan sent his wife and son away. Clearly, he had something planned.
“Just leave him alone.” She had tried to persuade Ronan before. But he wouldn’t listen, he was too stubborn. There was nothing she could do. Not wanting Adam Jackson to get involved, she added, “Just stay away from him for now, and if he asks you to do something, don’t do it.”
“What’s going on? Why is it so serious?” Adam Jackson pressed for more information.
“Don’t ask, just remember what I said.”
Adam Jackson could only reply, “Alright.”
After the call ended, he called the plastic surgery hospital, informing them that he wouldn’t be coming in today. He was determined to find Ronan.

Luna left the Russo family and immediately went to see the couple who had saved her, afraid that she had brought trouble upon them. Luckily, they were both there. She let out a sigh of relief. The woman, who had just returned home, saw Luna and immediately greeted her with joy, “You’re back! Did you come to see us?”
Luna nodded.
The woman warmly invited her to have a meal at their home and, seeing the luggage in Luna’s hands, even offered her a place to stay. Luna hadn’t found a place to stay yet, so she decided to stay here for the night. The next day, she planned to go out and find a place to live and work. However, just as she stepped out of the door, she saw Orion. He wasn’t alone. He had seven or eight burly bodyguards with him.
Luna instantly became wary. “What do you want?”
“I told you, either stay by my side or never see this couple again. As you can see, I’ve brought people with me. They’re here to capture them,” Orion said.
Luna glared at him angrily. “You’re going too far.”
“Come with me, and I won’t do anything extreme,” Orion said firmly. His attitude was equally strong. He had thought it through. If he wanted to be with Luna, making her willingly accept was impossible. He could only resort to this method.
Luna was furious but she also felt helpless against Orion. In order to protect the couple that had saved her from harm, she could only compromise for now. “I understand, I will go back.”
“Now,” Orion said.
Luna, breathing heavily with anger, replied, “I understand, I’ll pack my things.”
The woman was tidying up the guest room when she saw Luna packing and asked, “Are you leaving again?”
“Yes, I’ll come back to visit when I have free time,” Luna replied.
The woman expressed some reluctance, saying, “Make sure to come back when you have time.”
Luna nodded. “I definitely will.”
The woman took out a lot of seafood from the refrigerator. “You like eating these, so I kept them for you.”
Luna was touched. This couple truly treated her like their own daughter. They even saved these for her.
“Just leave them, I’ll come back to eat them when I have the chance.” Luna hugged the woman and said, “Take care of yourself.”
“Okay,” the woman smiled kindly.
Luna carried her simple luggage and left with Orion. It had only been a day since she left, and she was already being threatened by Orion through despicable means. A fire of anger burned inside her. When they arrived at their destination and got out of the car, Luna took her bag and returned to the room. She threw her luggage onto the bed. She couldn’t help but feel furious.
Orion walked in and said, “You must be hungry. I’ll take you to have something delicious to eat.”
Luna found it laughable. “Orion, let me tell you this. Keeping me by your side will only make you die faster. Next time, it won’t be arson or poisoning, I’ll kill you directly!”
