Luna bit her lip, “Stop messing around…”
Before she could finish her sentence, Orion’s lips were already on hers. He held her tightly, making Luna feel disgusted, but she couldn’t push him away too forcefully. She could only pretend to be shy, “Don’t do this…”
Orion brushed against her cheek, “We’re in a relationship, it’s not excessive to share a kiss.”
Luna said, “I’ve already forgotten that we’re in a relationship.”
“If I kiss you more, you’ll remember,” he replied.
“This is hooligan behavior,” Luna pretended to be angry and struggled out of his embrace.
Orion didn’t want to rush things either, so he had to endure, “This is normal behavior between couples. How can it be considered hooliganism? And I’ll take responsibility for you. As long as you say the word, I can marry you immediately.”
Luna didn’t want to discuss this topic and intentionally changed the subject, “When will you be done with your work? I’m bored sitting here.”
Orion said, “I’ll be done soon.”
Luna urged, “Hurry up.”
“Okay.”
By the time Orion finished his work, it was already getting dark, almost time for dinner. He found a seafood hot pot restaurant with delicious flavors. Luna ordered a lot, mostly seafood, and she even asked for an extremely spicy hot pot base. Orion glanced at the boiling red oil, like a volcano erupting in the hot pot, and his gaze briefly passed over the bandaged wound on his arm. Having been a doctor before, he knew he couldn’t eat these things. They wouldn’t benefit the healing of burns. So he didn’t move.
Luna put some freshly cooked bass slices into Orion’s dipping sauce, “Why aren’t you eating? Don’t you like eating with me?”
“No,” Orion picked up his chopsticks, “I enjoy eating with you.”
Luna diligently picked up some food for him, “It’s delicious, have more.”
Orion couldn’t handle too much spiciness. And this greasy and spicy food was pure torture for him. But Luna was enjoying herself so much, he didn’t want to spoil the mood. He could only force himself to eat it. His forehead quickly broke out in sweat. Orion had already drunk two glasses of water.
Luna sneakily glanced at him, “Can’t you handle spicy food?”
“Mhm.”
“I didn’t know…”
“It’s okay,” Orion said, “I’m willing to accommodate you.”
Luna smiled and said, “In that case, eat a bit more. Once you get used to it, you can eat with me more often.”
Orion indulgently smiled, “Uh-huh.”
His throat was hoarse from speaking, it was so spicy.
Luna pretended not to notice and continued to serve him, “This one is delicious too, have a little more.”
Orion ate everything she served him. He was so hot that he took off his suit jacket and casually draped it over the back of the chair. His cheeks were flushed. The sweat on his forehead went from tiny droplets to larger beads. Luna looked at him without a hint of mercy and continued to serve him. After finishing the meal, Orion was on the verge of being overwhelmed by the spiciness. On the way back, Luna was the one driving.
When they arrived home, Luna helped Orion back to his room, “You’re injured, don’t take a shower tonight.”
“I’m thirsty.”
Orion only wanted to drink water.
“I’ll go get some for you.” While Luna went to fetch the water, she slipped a pill into it.
Orion couldn’t perceive anything, even his sharp senses as a doctor disappeared. He felt like he needed to go wash out his stomach, his whole body was on fire. After drinking the water, he started feeling drowsy. Luna sat by the bedside, watching him, waiting for him to fall deeply asleep. Once she was sure he was sound asleep, she quietly left the room. Luna planned to find Zane. And as she stepped outside, she was surprised to find Zane waiting for her at the door.
