Edward Ford’s words were like pushing her to the edge of a cliff, taking a leap of faith and pulverising ……
But then he turned his head and blocked in front of her ……
The hands hanging at his sides were uneasily clasped together in a silent grip, “Edward Ford, so what if you do everything you can to keep me in G City? You can keep my person, but you can never keep my heart!”
“Your heart is only temporary, in time you’ll understand, Logan Brown is nothing to you.”
“Heh ……” she laughed, “Edward Ford, do you know why Kent wanted to take me away in the first place but couldn’t?”
Edward Ford screwed up his brow, seemingly unaware of the incident.
Elena Bush looked over at him, “Maybe he guessed this day would come and that’s why he tried everything to take me away, to take me away from H City, to a strange city, away from Logan Brown, and away from you ……”
But he still didn’t do anything, and she stayed with Logan Brown just as well. why?
“What are you trying to say?” Edward Ford had a twinge of unease stored in his mind, always feeling surprisingly calm with Elena Bush now.
“If you want to know, you can ask Kent what he’s done, so what if he took me away? I came back all the same didn’t I?”
She sat there, in a mood that had never been more serene.
Edward Ford narrowed his eyes, “Don’t try to confuse me, don’t try to cover it up, all I want from you is an answer, to leave or not to leave! The rest I will decide!”
“No!”
“Elena Bush!” Edward Ford slapped the table hard, “Aren’t you afraid of death?”
“And are you afraid of my death?” She sneered, not a warmth in her eyes.
Edward Ford “You’re going to threaten me?”
“You may not take it seriously.” She blandly looked away from him.
Edward Ford clutched the divorce papers in his hands, hatred growing in his eyes, “Elena, don’t push me, do you think you can wait until he comes? Or, do you think he’s coming?”
“None of that has anything to do with you!”
Even though in her heart she knew better than anyone that Logan Brown had come and even appeared at the Fords, she was determined not to let him know!
“Elena Bush, Elena Bush, you look forward to him and you wait for him, but what will you do if one day …… you have nothing left and you know full well that Logan Brown is a thin-skinned man? ”
“Before I recognize him as a thin-skinned man, it’s also clear to me that you’re nothing but a lunatic! A madman who is constantly exploiting my freedom!”
“I did it for your own good! What’s wrong with divorcing Logan Brown? I can take care of you and the child in your belly and you can live the rest of your lives in peace under my protection, and Logan Brown? Can he do that?”
Edward Ford’s mouth was going dry, but the person in front of him still wasn’t listening to anything.
She said faintly, “How do you know he can’t do it if he hasn’t done it?”
“Just by what I’m doing now, I can prove that he can’t give you a stable life, and you’re destined to be uprooted with him!”
Edward Ford once again pushed the divorce papers in front of her, “Elena, I’m giving you one more chance, do you say yes or no?”
The latter bit her lip so hard that she could almost taste the blood between her teeth.
Edward Ford’s gaze was firm and did not allow for the slightest questioning, and his temper followed him as he watched her silence.
“Butler! Go and get me Dr Thomas! She’s a tough talker, isn’t she? I want to see if it’s her baby or Logan Brown that matters!”
Elena Bush’s body shook and she subconsciously looked at the butler.
The housekeeper looked equally embarrassed, “Mr Ford, why don’t you calm down, Miss Elena is young and has a temper to be sure, but you can’t go along with ……”
“What if I can’t follow? Don’t I even have the right to let her do that anymore!?” Edward Ford retorted sternly.
The housekeeper shook his head, looked at Elena Bush again, and finally saw that Edward Ford really had no intention of softening his heart so he had to put all his hopes on Elena Bush.
“Miss Elena ……”
“Mr. Butler!” Elena Bush interrupted, “I know what you’re going to say, but ……”
Her hand dropped to the small of her back and she took another look at the so called divorce papers, her small face was cold, “No matter what, they are just as important to me and I can’t part with them!”
“Miss Elena, you, how can you be so insensitive? I will never harm you, just say yes to the gentleman, lest you are the one who suffers in the end ……”
“More talk is useless!”
Elena Bush grimaced, not taking Edward Ford’s words to heart in the slightest.
“Good!” Edward Ford nodded repeatedly, slapping his thigh and getting up, “In half an hour, if I don’t see Dr Thomas, tell him to get his head ready for me!”
The butler glanced around at the two men, but finally, unable to do anything but hang his head and go out to find Dr Thomas.
Elena Bush took a deep breath and her slender body just sat there, as if ready for anything.
Half an hour ……
Edward Ford was always more ruthless than Elena Bush could have imagined, and Elena Bush was taken straight to the bedroom bed to act as a makeshift operating table.
Elena Bush struggled and struggled, her calm little face finally showing some panic.
“Edward Ford, what are you trying to do!?” She snarled, her whole body tensing up with nerves.
Edward Ford laughed brutally and dropped his large hand to caress the small of her back, “I’ve already told you what I want to do, Elena, don’t blame me, if you insist on being with Logan Brown, this is what will happen between you …… ”
“What did you say ……”
“Put me under anesthesia!” Edward Ford barked an order.
Dr Thomas hesitated and did not move for a long time, but a nurse was quickly on the sidelines to make preparations.
“No!”
Elena Bush’s arms and legs began to violently try to free themselves from the restraints on her body, but no matter what, the cloth tied around her arms and legs felt like a tightly wrapped boa constrictor, making it impossible for her to break free and the strangulation got tighter and tighter!
Edward Ford shook his head, “No room for you Elena, I gave you a choice, but you gave me the answer, I had to …… you made me do it, and that was the decision.”
“I didn’t make any decisions!” She glared at him angrily, “Edward Ford, if my baby is gone I will die, I will die in front of you! Definitely!!!”
