Elena Bush looked at him and pursed her lips without answering.
Edward Ford, however, thought she was weak-minded and continued with a sneer, “Two days have passed since you went from H City to G City, has he found you? Has he come looking for you?”
“He’ll be here!” Elena Bush strained her neck, as if in a show of bravado.
“Ridiculous!”
Edward Ford sneered, “Elena, don’t be silly, because your leaving has made him realise that the company is the most important thing to him, not you, and he’d rather you didn’t go back now, so he can live his life more freely.”
Elena Bush narrowed her eyes and couldn’t help but say, “Is that really the case?”
“Or what?” Edward Ford slowly sat down in front of her, his eyes locked on hers, “Elena, anyone in this world who touches profit will start looking out for themselves, everyone does, Logan Brown even more so!”
He said it with such sincerity that one could almost be fooled by looking into his eyes.
Elena Bush lowered her eyes and let out a low laugh as she looked at the cutlery in front of her.
Edward Ford grimaced slightly, “What are you laughing at?”
“Me?” Elena Bush raised her smile and turned her head to look at him, “I’m laughing at you, are you really having fun talking all that crap to me?”
“I’m telling you the truth! You’re the one who doesn’t want to believe me!”
Elena Bush clenched her teeth and said word for word, “I won’t believe a word you say!”
“Elena …… why won’t you believe me for once? You’ve never known that I’m the only person in this world who’s ever been true to you, everyone else is just passing through!”
“Then why don’t you let those people who are watching me go?” Elena Bush sneered and looked at him.
At those words, Edward Ford’s face suddenly changed!
Elena Bush could see it for what it was and gave a smile, “See Edward Ford, you’re afraid …… you’re afraid that if Logan Brown came here, you wouldn’t be able to stop him, so you wouldn’t dare, that’s why you keep denigrating him to me! !”
“I didn’t.” Edward Ford denied it through clenched teeth.
Elena Bush ignored him, not taking his words to heart, picking up her chopsticks with one hand and saying carelessly, “I’m locked up in the Fords, I can’t get in or out, I can’t communicate with the outside world, and you say I’m not?”
Edward Ford squeezed his hands together, but finally gritted his teeth and sat back down, saying slowly, “Eat.”
Elena Bush pursed her lips and ate freely, while Edward Ford, in a bad mood, ate the meal in front of him as if he were chewing wax!
Elena Bush moved quickly, and after two bowls of porridge and a few small dishes, she put down her dishes and said briskly, “I’m full, Mr. Ford, take your time, I’ll leave you to it.”
With that, she made a move to go upstairs.
Edward Ford looked at her back with a gloomy expression.
The butler appeared in time to stop her, “Miss Elena, Mr Ford has something to say to you.
“I’m tired and want to rest.” She looked at him, her words firm.
The butler never gave way and simply continued to repeat the words he had just said.
Elena Bush turned only to see Edward Ford still eating his breakfast, standing as if he hadn’t heard anything, leaving her small face written with displeasure.
“Good.” In this place, she just had to throw her hands up in surrender, “In the Fords, Edward Ford is the master and I’m just the little guy, so I have to listen to him?”
The butler bowed his head, “It will only take a moment, it won’t take long.”
“It had better be!” Elena Bush turned to the living room and sat down.
Edward Ford, who had fallen behind earlier, was patient and unhurried, making her anxious as she waited.
It seemed that as long as she was in the same space as Edward Ford, she couldn’t get in a good mood.
She glanced up at the clock hanging in the living room and spoke in a deep voice to the butler, “Mr. Butler, there is a limit to my waiting, I’ll give you two more minutes, if your master has nothing to say, then I’ll excuse myself!”
The words left his lips before Edward Ford slowly got up and walked over, “Don’t be in such a hurry, young man!”
“That depends on the person.” She said sarcastically.
Edward Ford gave her a deep look, a flash of jealousy and hatred as his gaze moved to the small of her back!
Elena Bush saw the look in his eyes and subconsciously shielded her abdomen with a wary look, “What are you trying to do?”
“I’m not going to hurt you.” Edward Ford said softly, sitting down in front of him.
The butler immediately placed the papers he had been holding on the table, Elena Bush scanned them and before she could read them carefully, the words ‘divorce settlement’ were in big letters!
She raised her face, her eyes blazing!
Edward Ford was not afraid, he just handed her a pen and said, “Sign it, it will be good for both of us.”
Elena Bush looked at him with her teeth clenched and three words squeezed out of her teeth, “You’re dreaming!”
“If you don’t sign, do you want the baby in your belly to die in vain?” He spoke quietly, “Elena Bush, there is a limit to my patience, and I have a bottom line, so …… you don’t push me!”
“Edward Ford, you’re the one pushing me, you’re the one pushing me!”
Elena Bush denied his words in a stern voice through clenched teeth, her whole body trembling with alarm.
When had she ever provoked him?
He had forced her all along, forced her to leave H City, forced her to stay with him at the Fords, and now, to force her to divorce Logan Brown and her children!
Edward Ford swept her a deep, cold look, “I know you hate me now, but even if you do, I’m going to do it all the same.”
“Don’t even think about it!”
Edward Ford laughed in the face of her rejection, he shook his head with a helpless look, “Elena, don’t be naive, do you think you have a choice to refuse?”
His smile was so percolating that one could feel one’s whole body freeze with it just by looking at it.
“Now, there are two paths in front of you to choose from, and you can make your own decision. First, you can refuse to divorce Logan Brown, and I will accept it, but even if your child is born, I promise you, it will be a stillborn child!”
Elena Bush’s face suddenly went cold with disbelief in her eyes as soon as the final words were spoken!
Edward Ford laughed at her nervousness and said, “Don’t be afraid, you have a second option, which is to divorce Logan Brown, and as for the baby …… I promise you, he will be safe and sound! ……”
