Orion approached cautiously, “Are you awake?”
Chelsea remained vigilant, staring at him. She had just overheard the conversation between Orion and Freya. Even thought not much was said, there was a lot of information in there. She would lose her memory, and someone had wanted her dead. She just wasn’t killed. And the person who harmed her was the mother of this man in front of her.
“What do you want now?” she glared at Orion.
“I told you, our junior friend, who is also your good friend, let her tell you about your past, and you’ll know that I didn’t deceive you.” Orion said.
Chelsea sneered inwardly. He didn’t want her to regain her memory, and now he said he didn’t want to deceive her. This man must have been terribly cruel to her in the past. Otherwise, he wouldn’t be afraid of her remembering.
“Let’s meet then,” she relented.
“Great, come on then.” Orion happily handed her slippers, “Put these on, we’re in the living room.”
Chelsea got up, “What’s her name?”
“Freya Stone,” Orion replied.
“Do you still remember your previous profession? You were a forensic scientist, she’s a doctor, and I used to be a doctor too, but I had to go back to manage the family business because of family needs,” Chelsea Ramirez nodded.
“Oh,” she said.
Chelsea walked into the living room, and Freya stood up from the couch. She stared at Chelsea, her eyes reddening, softly calling out, “Luna.”
Chelsea had forgotten her relationship with Freya. She just stood there. Freya walked over and hugged her, repeating over and over, “Glad you’re all right, I’m so happy.” Her voice was hoarse.
Freya’s concern and relief didn’t seem fake. Chelsea lifted her hand and returned the embrace. Freya tried to suppress her emotions, speaking in a gentle voice, afraid of scaring her away. After all, Luna had lost her memory now.
“I’m Freya, and that’s Orion. We all graduated from the same university. You’re my best friend. Do you remember anything?”
Chelsea shook her head. She truly didn’t remember.
Freya wiped her teary eyes and pulled her to sit down. “We’re worried about you being out there. If you don’t want to stay here, how about coming to my place?”
Chelsea looked at Freya, who seemed genuinely sincere.
Chelsea shook her head and asked, “Am I really Luna?”
“Yes.” Freya took out her phone and showed her their old photos.
Chelsea looked at them one by one. From these photos, it could be seen that their relationship was truly good.
“Freya?” she tried calling out.
Freya smiled, “You let me call you by your first name. Do you remember?”
Chelsea shook her head.
Freya felt a bit uneasy; Luna didn’t remember anything. And she forgot about her too.
“It’s okay, as long as you’re all right, we’ll still be the best of friends.”
Chelsea said, “I guess I really am Luna.”
Orion interjected, “You are Luna.”
Chelsea glanced at him, then her gaze settled on Freya.
Freya nodded affirmatively, “You’re the Luna we know.”
Chelsea nodded, “I am Luna.”
Chelsea actually wanted to remember what happened in the past, what kind of things occurred before and why she was targeted. She admitted to herself that she was Luna. She looked at Orion, “The couple saved me. I can’t just leave like this. I have to go and thank them for saving my life.”
“I’ll accompany you,” Orion said.
“In that case, I shouldn’t stay longer either. You two go, I’ll head back first.” Freya left at the right moment.
Orion said, “I’ll find the right time to take her to meet you.”
Freya agreed and left. She got into the car and told the driver, “Go back.”
While waiting at the traffic lights, Freya looked through the car window and saw–
