The person who entered was the driver. Linda, Elowen, and even Freya all thought it was Elijah. Seeing that the person who entered wasn’t him, disappointment showed on their faces. The driver hesitated, unsure if it was because she appeared at the wrong time that they had such expressions. For a moment, she stood at the doorway, unsure whether to enter or leave.
“Is there something wrong?” asked Freya.
The driver walked in quickly and handed over a phone, saying, “This was left in the car.”
Freya reached out and took it. It was her phone.
“I’ll go now. If you need anything, just let me know,” the driver said.
Anyone who could come here was someone Elijah trusted. Freya nodded lightly. After being interrupted, Elowen didn’t continue her previous anger and scolding towards Elijah.
