Dina urgently said, “Evan had a car accident on his way to Country M and is currently in the hospital, in critical condition.”
Elijah’s face immediately darkened.
Evan had an accident?
And at such a critical moment?
There was no way for him to return immediately.
“Where is he now? Which hospital?” he asked.
“In order to provide immediate medical attention, he was taken to a nearby small hospital, Ikon Hospital.”
“Okay.” Elijah hung up the phone and dialed Orion’s number. Although Orion was no longer a doctor, he used to be one and knew many people in the hospital. Elijah needed him to go and check on Evan so that he could have peace of mind.

Orion was currently taking Haley shopping at a mall. Since he wanted to win over Haley with “emotions” and get information about Luna from her, he had to spend some time and effort to please her.
Haley was immersed in the sweet world Orion had created for her. She thought that after enduring hardships, she had finally obtained Orion’s love.
“This one looks nice.” In a luxury store, Haley spotted a four-leaf clover bracelet.
Orion asked the salesperson to bring it out. “Try it on. If it looks good, we’ll buy it immediately.”
Haley hooked her arm around his and smiled. “You’re so good to me.”
Orion forced a smile. “What’s important is that you like it. We’re a couple, you don’t have to be so reserved with me.”
Haley’s heart was almost melted by Orion. She had obtained everything she had ever wanted. Suddenly, Orion’s phone rang. He took out his phone and saw that it was Elijah calling. He told Haley, “I’ll take this call.”
“Go ahead.”
Orion walked to a quiet place and answered the call.
“Hello.”
“Evan had a car accident and is in the hospital. I need you to go and check on his condition…”
“What?” Orion couldn’t believe it. Even though he and Evan had arguments, there was no barrier between them. Now that he heard about the accident, he felt extremely worried. “We just met earlier. How could he have a car accident?”
“I’m not in the country, so I’m not sure. I’m concerned about his safety. Please go and check on him for me, and keep me informed of any updates.”
“All right.” Orion immediately agreed. He paused for a moment. “… I heard that Freya had an accident. Is she okay?”
“Just focus on taking care of Evan for me.”
Explaining Freya’s situation would take too long. He didn’t want to distract Orion. Besides, he was far away in another country and couldn’t help much here.
“I’ll go right away.” Orion knew Elijah’s personality well. He didn’t say anything and didn’t ask further. Putting his phone back into his pocket, Orion walked back to the counter.
Haley was still trying on the bracelet. She extended her wrist in front of Orion and asked, “Does it look good?” Without even looking, Orion said it looked good. He took out his wallet and handed the salesperson a bank card. “I’ll take this one.”
“Alright, sir.” The salesperson was happy to make the sale so quickly and went to the front desk to process the payment.
Haley, not really interested in the beauty of the bracelet, casually asked, “Who called just now?”
“Elijah,” Orion answered.
There was no pause in his response, no trace of lying. Haley felt relieved and asked, “Did he call you for something?”
Orion replied, “Yes, Evan had a car accident and is in the hospital. Elijah is out of the country and can’t come back immediately, so he asked me to go and check on him…”
“I’ll go with you,” Haley said, not waiting for Orion to refuse. She continued, “Evan has been nice to me. I’m worried about him too.”
Orion looked at her and eventually nodded. The salesperson handed over the card and a paper bag containing the jewelry box. Orion took them and said, “Let’s go.”

They drove to the hospital. Only Dina was waiting outside the operating room. The conditions here were very simple. As soon as Orion entered, his brows furrowed tightly.
Haley also said, “How could Evan be sent to such a hospital?”
“Why are you here?” Dina was surprised by Orion’s presence.
“I came after receiving a call from Elijah.” Said Orion.
Dina lowered her gaze. “I see.”
Haley stared at Dina and asked, “You seem surprised?”
Dina lifted her head, wearing her usual official expression, a bit superior, a bit serious. She positioned herself as someone who looked down on others. “Miss, you have misunderstood.”
As Elijah’s Dina, she indeed had the right to look down on others.
Many people wanted to see Elijah, but they had to go through her.
Haley was also someone who had been pampered since childhood. She didn’t buy into Dina’s attitude. “Orion and Elijah are friends, and I am Orion’s wife. You should respect me, you know?”
Dina furrowed her brow.
“Come on, it’s late. Can you two stop arguing here?” Orion said, displeased.
Haley, realizing that she had just gained Orion’s favor, didn’t want to upset him, so she immediately kept quiet. Dina didn’t want any unnecessary trouble either.
“Tell me, what happened at that time? How did the accident happen?” Orion asked Dina.
“He had a collision with a dump truck on the ring road bridge on his way to Country M. The accident happened there, and since this hospital is the closest, he was brought here.” Dina explained, addressing why Evan was sent to this hospital.
Orion nodded and said, “Investigate the dump truck driver, I’ll go into the operating room to see.”
Dina stopped Orion, “I’ve already sent someone to the dump truck side to gather information. Evan is in surgery right now, what are you going to do? You might disturb the doctors, and what if something goes wrong during the operation?”
“I am a doctor, I know what I’m doing,” Orion disregarded Dina’s objection and found the relevant doctor, explaining his identity, and was granted permission to enter the operating room.
The situation inside the operating room surprised him even more. The medical environment here was very poor. The equipment was outdated and rudimentary. Evan was still unconscious. The doctors were doing their best to save him, but Orion could tell that their skills were limited. If they continued to delay, Evan would undoubtedly die. Orion made up his mind and knew it wasn’t the time to move Evan, but continuing to delay wouldn’t help either. He then called the emergency center at the main hospital. He had worked there before and knew many people, so it wasn’t difficult to arrange an ambulance.
Orion was preparing to transfer Evan to the main hospital.

Outside the operating room, Haley stared at Dina. Now that Orion wasn’t around, she didn’t have to hold back.
“Hey, did you intentionally bring Evan to this hospital with ulterior motives?” Haley said.
Perhaps women understood women. Or maybe people with hidden motives understood others with hidden motives, which was why Haley felt that Dina’s actions had a hidden agenda. Dina completely ignored her. Haley crossed her arms. “You’re not saying anything because I’ve exposed your intentions, so you feel guilty, right?”
Dina still remained silent, but gave her a cold glance.
Being ignored, Haley, as a privileged young lady, had never experienced such treatment before. She was always the center of attention. Now, being treated coldly, she naturally felt unhappy. Her face immediately darkened. “I know what you’re up to. Once Evan wakes up, we’ll find out. Don’t take everyone for fools.” Haley coldly snorted.
Dina turned and walked away, trying to keep her distance from Haley. At that moment, her phone suddenly rang. She took out her phone, unlocked the screen, and saw a text message. The message read, “I know it’s you, trying to kill Evan.”
Dina’s face instantly turned pale. She immediately replied, “Who are you?”
