Chapter 353 A Call

“How… did you… come to my house?” Sivin stammered, too nervous to form a complete sentence.
“Give me the phone.” Elijah reached out his hand.
Sivin tightly clenched his phone, his expression growing more panicked.
Elijah gestured to his subordinate, “Take it from him.”
Understanding the signal, the subordinate stepped forward, snatched the phone from Sivin’s hand, and handed it to Elijah, saying, “Mr Silverton.”
Elijah took the phone, placed it against his ear, and spoke, “Freya.”
In truth, he wasn’t sure who was on the other end of the line. He could only deduce from Sivin’s words and his panicked expression that it might be Freya. Freya had already heard his voice and handed the phone to Jeff beside her.
Jeff was startled, “Who are you looking for? Who’s Freya?”
Upon hearing the voice of a man, Elijah furrowed his brows deeply. Did he guess wrong?
But why was Sivin so flustered upon seeing him?
He hung up the phone and looked at Sivin, his words sharp, “Tell me, where is Freya?”
Sivin forced himself to appear calm, “Isn’t she already dead?”
“The one who died wasn’t her. As her surgeon, how did you switch her with someone else? You know exactly what happened when you sent her away. Be honest with me, and maybe I’ll go easy on you. But if you continue to deny it, don’t blame me for being harsh.”
Elijah was still giving him a chance, hoping he would confess. Even though Sivin sent Freya away, he had saved her. Elijah could show some mercy.
Cold sweat started to form on Sivin’s forehead. Now that Freya had just achieved success in her career, it would be a pity if she couldn’t continue to develop because of Elijah’s interference. He wanted Freya to go further and stand taller. Only then could she contribute to the development of medical care in their home country.
“I don’t understand what you’re talking about.” Sivin feigned ignorance.
Elijah’s gaze grew darker and darker, turning pitch-black, and an uncontrollable anger ignited within him. How could Sivin still be stubborn at this point?!
“Take him away,” Elijah said coldly.
“Who are you people? Where are you taking him?” Sivin’s wife, blocking the approaching individuals, exclaimed, “It’s illegal to trespass on someone’s property. We live in a civilized society now, are you trying to act like thugs?”
The people Elijah brought with him were efficient in their actions. They grabbed Sivin’s wife and roughly pushed her aside.
“I’ll go with you, but don’t touch my wife.” Sivin stood up voluntarily, helping his wife up from the ground and soothingly saying, “Don’t worry, I’ll be fine. You stay at home.” After speaking, he looked at Elijah and defiantly added, “I don’t believe you can do anything to me.”
Elijah glanced at him and turned around, saying, “Take him away.” With that, he walked away with long strides.
“Elijah, I don’t believe you would dare to kill me.” Sivin spoke with a tough tone. Seemingly as if he had already predicted it, Elijah’s intention was only to scare him.
Elijah did not respond to him. Instead, he took Sivin to Riverside Haven Mental Hospital. He wanted him to see Thorne’s fate.
“What you’re doing is against the law.” Sivin clearly didn’t sound as tough as before.
“Just confess, and I’ll let you go. If you refuse, this will become your retirement home.” Elijah calmly spoke the cruelest words.
Being imprisoned in a mental hospital, facing mentally ill patients all day long, even if one is not sick, they might become insane, right?
“Mr Silverton.”
Evan gathered all the people who were involved in the surgery and brought them over. He leaned close to Elijah’s ear and whispered, “I’ve investigated thoroughly. Thorne’s girlfriend, Calista, infiltrated and had contact with him. The message you received was sent by Calista.”
Freya was alive.
Could it be that Calista really knew her whereabouts?
If she didn’t know that Freya was still alive, why would she send him such a message?
Elijah fell into deep thought.
Just then, someone suddenly ran over.
