Ronan asked, “What’s the matter?”
“I heard from Evan that your situation will be spreading on the internet in our home country. I think it’s better for you to handle it as soon as possible since you have more acquaintances there…” Freya said.
“What?” Ronan was furious, his face puffed up, and his eyes almost popping out. “Elijah, he’s not human. He’s ruining my reputation like this.”
“You have time to complain here, you should think about how to solve this matter,” Freya said.
Reminded by Freya, Ronan realized that he was getting too worked up. “Then I should go back as soon as possible.”
Freya nodded, “You go first, I might also need to go back.”
“You’re going back too?” Ronan, upon hearing this, became restless again. “Why? Because of Elijah?”
“No, it’s because of a seminar. Three of us from the hospital will be attending, and I’m one of them. Because of Luna’s situation, I do need to go back.” Freya explained. She also had a personal motive, wanting to see Kai and Elowen.
“Not because of Elijah, that’s good.” Ronan looked at her, “After you go back, if you need anything, make sure to contact me.”
Freya said, “I will.”

Country Z.
The DNA test results requested by Elijah were out. The deceased body and Elowen had no biological relationship. Elijah stared at the test results in his hand, studying it for a long time. Evan also saw it when he brought it over. He was curious.
“The test shouldn’t be wrong. We did it repeatedly, three or four times, and they all showed the same result,” Evan couldn’t understand, “How could she and Elowen not have a blood relationship? Isn’t she her biological mother?”
Elijah glanced at him coldly. Evan was bewildered by the cold gaze.
“Maybe… that body wasn’t her at all.” Elijah’s eyes flickered with an unusual light.
She might still be alive. At the thought, his heart surged with unstoppable excitement.
Freya was still alive.
She must be alive.
Evan cautiously asked, “If the one who died wasn’t her, then where is she?”
Evan actually meant to say that Freya had no reason to hide. But Elijah knew her reasons. She must have thought that he didn’t love her.
“Gather everyone who was involved in her surgery,” Elijah said, his eyes revealing a chilling coldness. He wanted to see who had secretly helped her. His people pulled Freya out of the water and sent her to the hospital. They couldn’t have tampered with anything. So the person who tampered must be someone from the hospital. There couldn’t be many people capable of helping her and willing to do so. Sivin Peters was his prime suspect. He had the ability, and his relationship with Freya made him the most likely to help her. Evan approached other doctors, but he went to Sivin Peters personally.

After retiring, Sivin Peters had a hard time adjusting to a life without work. He wandered around in a daze for a long time. His wife accompanied him every day, taking walks outside to help him gradually adapt. To pass the time, he even kept a bird as a pet.
Coming back from his bird-walking session, Sivin heard his phone ringing inside the house. He walked over to answer it. On the other end, Freya’s voice came through, “I might be returning to our home country for a while. Let’s meet up when I’m there.”
“Why are you coming back at this time?” asked Sivin.
“There’s a seminar, and the hospital asked me to attend, so I took this opportunity to come back.” Freya explained.
“It’s been a long time since we last saw each other. It’s actually nice. How are you doing now?” Sivin asked. He was actually quite happy to hear that Freya was coming back. And now that so much time had passed, Elijah wouldn’t have any suspicions.
“I’ve become an attending physician.” Freya said.
“Really?” Sivin was surprised. She had become an attending physician so quickly. He knew she had the talent to be a brilliant doctor, but to achieve such a position at such a young age was truly remarkable; while some people spend their whole lives as just attending physicians.
The doorbell suddenly rang, and Sivin’s wife went to answer it.
Sivin sat on the couch, continuing his conversation with Freya. “After you come back to our home country, you must come to my house for a meal. You are my most successful student. I didn’t misjudge you. I knew you would succeed…”
His face was filled with a smile, radiating a sense of pride.
“Who are you talking to?”
A cold, deep voice came from above, cutting through the air.
Sivin Peters looked up, and his whole body froze.
