“You’re at such an old age and still want to get married. Don’t you feel ashamed? Do you have no regard for my brother and me?” Holly was so angry, but Ewan remained calm.
Ewan smiled, “Holly, don’t get so worked up! This is my personal matter, and you can’t decide for me. There’s nothing shameful about being with someone you like. Your mom doesn’t understand emotions, and neither do you.”
“I… don’t understand! I hate you!” Holly stomped her foot and ran off.
But Ayaan, somehow, had sneaked up behind her and tripped her. Holly fell, hurt and angry, grabbing Ayaan’s collar, “Brat, are you trying to get killed?”
“Holly, let him go!” Ranita rushed over to hold Ayaan, and Ewan intervened to scold her, “Holly, have you no manners? He’s your nephew. How can you say such things!”
Holly felt no remorse, glaring at Ayaan, “Dad, you’re so biased! If it weren’t for him, how would I have fallen? Don’t you care about me at all?”
“Holly!” Ewan sighed, looking at her helplessly, “Ayaan is just a child. If he accidentally tripped you, you should speak nicely. Why be so vicious?”
“He’s your brother’s child, very close to you by blood.”
“I don’t care if he’s related to me by blood or not! I don’t like him at all.” Holly glared at Ranita, “He’s your child, not mine.”
And with that, Holly stormed off. Ewan apologized, “Ranita, Holly has a bad temper. Don’t take it to heart.” Then, he bent down, patting Ayaan’s head, “Ayaan, I’m your grandpa.”
Compared to before, Ewan was all smiles, probably the kindest person in Boulderland Mansion to him. Ayaan blinked and smiled, “I know, Grandpa. You’re as handsome as Dad.”
“Haha! Ayaan, you’re really sweet-tongued!” Ewan looked at the child, reminiscent of Brendon, and felt a pang of sadness.
Brendon had been adorable when he was young.
“Ayaan, this is a gift from Grandpa to you.” Ewan handed him a red envelope, “You should listen to your mom in the future.”
Ayaan looked at Ranita, “Mommy…”
“It’s too precious, he’s still a child, he can’t accept it.” After a pause, Ranita added, “I can afford to raise my child, don’t worry.”
The red envelope wasn’t thick; it probably contained a bank card.
When she married Brendon, Wyatt gave her a gift, a startup fund of ten million, and the second one came from Ewan.
Ewan’s kindness towards her moved her deeply.
“This is a gift from me to my grandchild. You should take it!” Ewan pushed it back to Ranita, “It’s my intention.”
“I really like Ayaan, he looks so much like Brendon when he was young.”
Despite his age, Ewan, who always had girlfriends, still cherished seeing such an adorable child like Ayaan.
“Ayaan, later I plan to go play in the pool. Do you want to come?” After a pause, Ewan immediately said, “Do you like castles? I’ll have a water castle sent over right away! I’ll play with you.”
When it came to playing, Ayaan immediately abandoned Ranita, clinging to Ewan’s leg, and said sweetly, “Really? Ayaan is so hot, Ayaan wants to play in the water!”
“Grandpa, will you play with me?”
