Ranita was on her way to work when she unexpectedly ran into Ewan and chatted for a while. She didn’t have Ayaan with her at the time, and Ewan didn’t know she had a child with her.
If he had known, Ewan probably wouldn’t have kept it from Brendon.
“Long time no see! I’ve been in Iceland for the past year! But that place is too cold, can’t stand it for long. But it’s really fun, I even raised a few adorable sled dogs there. I didn’t bring them back this time in a hurry… I’ll have them airshipped later, come over and see them.” Ewan said, lowering his voice, “What’s going on between you and Brendon?”
“Are you getting back together?” Ewan was different from others; he always spoke directly. But being asked about herself made Ranita a bit unsure.
“Well… it’s not what you think.” Ranita pondered for a moment and said, “There was some trouble online where I was, it wasn’t safe, and reporters were harassing people, so I came over here to lay low.”
“I didn’t expect you to be back. Brendon didn’t mention it to me.” Ewan still had a smiling face, seeming very easygoing.
“That brat, he made me come back and then he’s never home. We haven’t even had a meal together.” After a pause, Ewan added, “When are you free? Let’s have a meal together.”
“I’ll introduce a friend to you.” Hearing Ewan say this, Ranita knew it wasn’t good.
Last time they met in Dubai, Ewan said he would introduce a friend to her, but it turned out to be his new girlfriend. Being introduced to his girlfriend by her former father-in-law was really embarrassing.
“Your girlfriend?” Ranita said, and Ewan immediately praised her intelligence, “Haha, you’re really smart. But this time the girl is a bit older than you, very interesting. I’m planning to marry her.”
With that said, Ranita became interested.
“You’re getting married?” As the words fell, a surprised voice sounded, “Dad, are you getting married?”
“Holly?” Ewan and Holly didn’t have a good relationship, especially since Holly always stood by Amiya’s side. After being brainwashed by Amiya, Holly believed that Ewan was an irresponsible father who hurt Amiya, and her hatred for Ewan reached its peak.
“Don’t call my name. Ewan, you don’t deserve it.” Holly said fiercely, forgetting that Ranita was there, and shouted angrily, “Are you crazy? You’re playing around with women at your age, and now you’re talking about getting married. Are you trying to upset my mom?”
If Amiya found out about this, she would really be furious.
Amiya hated Ewan. But as much as she hated him, she loved him.
“Holly, how can you talk like that? I’m your father!” Ewan frowned, “Look at how your mother has raised you? No sense of propriety!”
After a pause, Ewan continued, “Your mother and I have been divorced for many years. It’s my right to marry whoever I want.”
“Why are you shouting? You’re my dad? When you divorced mom and left me and my brother behind, why didn’t you say you were being a father?” Holly was really angry. She knew Ewan was a playboy, but over the years, he had only changed girlfriends. She and Brendon were his only children.
Ewan was irresponsible, but he was still the father she missed.
And now he was building a new family, maybe there would even be half-siblings.
Holly couldn’t stand it.
And if people in the industry found out about this, it would be so embarrassing!
