Faced with Ranita’s probing, Cindy felt guilty, “I said I made a mistake. Who knows how you fell, don’t wrongly accuse me and Shannon.”
“It’s been several years since this incident, why bring it up now? If you wanted to investigate, you should have mentioned it at the time, making it seem like our studio was bullying someone.”
The more Cindy spoke, the more she felt justified.
Ranita smiled, then picked up a mop next to her and slowly cleaned up the water on the floor. “Miss Cindy, actually, I didn’t fall back then, just twisted my ankle, no need to worry.”
“Who’s worried about you…” Cindy gnashed her teeth, then turned and walked away.
“Cindy,” Ranita called out to her.
Without turning back, Cindy walked faster, but suddenly, after a few steps, she screamed and slipped, falling to the ground with a loud thud.
Ranita thought it must be very painful.
Struggling to get up from the ground, Cindy saw that her clothes had a big dirty mark and an unpleasant smell.
“Ranita, are you doing this on purpose?”
Ranita looked innocent, “Cindy, you are joking, right? I was at least a meter away from you, how could I be responsible for your fall?”
“Oh, I was going to tell you just now, watch out for the water on the floor.” After a pause, Ranita grinned mischievously, “You really should be more careful. I wanted to help you, but you didn’t appreciate it.”
Cindy had taken a hard fall, her whole body aching, but she couldn’t show it in front of Ranita. She could only force herself, “Hehe, I’m fine and not hurt.”
“That’s great!” Ranita smiled, “But you can’t blame others. You spilled the water yourself, causing yourself to fall. You can’t be so careless in the future.”
Ranita didn’t want to say so much, but seeing Cindy’s displeased face, she suddenly felt the pleasure of being an “Angelic bitch.”
“If you fall by yourself, it’s fine, but if you cause someone else to fall, it could be a big problem!” This last sentence was infuriating. Cindy’s face turned pale with anger, gritting her teeth and glaring at Ranita.
Ranita clapped her hands calmly and left.
In the studio, Shannon had finished shooting, and the staff were setting up for the promotional video shoot later. The shoot wasn’t too difficult, mostly post-production effects, so Shannon was relaxed, sitting on the side resting and drinking juice.
As she arrived, Shannon pretentiously picked up her phone, saying softly, “Brendon, why are you calling now?”
“Oh, I see, today’s shoot isn’t that tiring, I’ll find time to rest, don’t worry about me.” Shannon glanced at Ranita with a face full of happiness.
Ranita raised an eyebrow, feeling speechless.
“Ranita is here too, you want to talk to Ranita? Hmph! I won’t allow it, I’ll get jealous.” Every word Shannon said was making Ranita sick to the extreme. It also made her heart feel sour.
“If you coax me, I won’t be angry anymore. And also, will you accompany me for lunch…” Shannon chuckled softly, while others teased her about her good relationship with her fiancé, to which she accepted and even shyly asked them to stop teasing her.
Ranita’s heart felt even worse.
At that moment, her phone in her pocket vibrated, displaying the name ‘Brendon’ on the screen, causing Ranita to raise her eyebrows.
