“Ranita, I won’t trouble you later, you’ve been busy all day, take a good rest.” Shannon smiled lightly, looking innocent.
As she passed by Ranita, she intentionally pulled up her collar to cover a pink mark.
Ranita glanced provocatively at Shannon. It made Ranita feel nauseous again.
With a raised eyebrow, Ranita called out to Shannon with a smile: “Miss Murphy, wait a moment.”
“What’s wrong with Ranita?” Shannon still looked innocent, as if she hadn’t done anything just now.
Approaching a bit closer, Ranita took out Ayaan’s commonly used mosquito repellent from her bag and dabbed a bit on the mark on Shannon’s neck, imitating Shannon’s voice, “Miss Murphy, isn’t this big bite mark on your neck itchy?”
“This repellent works well, Miss Murphy, no need to thank me.”
With Ranita’s words, the gossip-hungry reporter who was eager to overhear suddenly realized the situation and calmly said, “So that’s how it is, indeed, there are a lot of mosquitoes in the hot weather.” Shannon was so angry her lips were trembling.
Ranita plastered a fake smile and said, “Miss Murphy, the photographer is waiting for you, go quickly!”
Shannon was quite skilled as well, facing the photographer as if nothing happened, and the photographer was completely taken with her, constantly praising her, with a look of fascination, as if he was about to fall on her lap the next moment.
Shannon also thoroughly enjoyed this kind of adulation, her innocent eyes captivating people’s hearts.
After staring for a while, Ranita turned and went to the restroom.
As soon as she entered, she ran into Cindy, who was touching up her makeup, giving Ranita a cold look and snorting to show her displeasure.
Ignoring her, Ranita briskly walked into the restroom. However, as soon as she came out of the restroom, she heard a loud crash and felt a splash of fishy-smelling water pouring onto her legs.
Luckily, Ranita reacted quickly, her feet slipping for a moment but she managed to grab onto the door frame in time, only getting some splatters on her shoe, while her legs remained clean.
“Oops, sorry, accidentally knocked over the bucket of water.” Cindy’s voice sounded sarcastic, “I don’t know how the cleaner here does their job, leaving a big bucket of water right at the doorway.”
“Fortunately, you didn’t fall, or else I would’ve been wrongly accused.”
Ranita looked at Cindy with a faint smile, “It was just there, but someone had to kick it with their foot, they are the innocent one, right?”
These words seemed to provoke Cindy.
Cindy erupted, “Who are you calling innocent? Ranita, watch your words.”
“Cindy, I advise you to be polite when speaking. After all, Steland Monolith Technology is the one that pays.” Ranita paused and then smiled, “I suddenly remember something, four years ago I went to your studio and accidentally slipped…”
Ranita’s expression was meaningful as she looked at Cindy.
Cindy immediately retorted, “That’s funny, you slipped on the water on the ground by yourself, what does it have to do with me…”
“I haven’t finished yet, how do you know I slipped on the water? I remember that Miss Cindy wasn’t present at the time, right?” Ranita cut her off, and Cindy’s face turned ugly, glaring at Ranita in anger.
“I made a mistake,” said Cindy through gritted teeth, “maybe I mixed things up.”
Ranita casually glanced at Cindy, “Did you really mix things up? Or did Miss Cindy know that someone deliberately spilled water at the door to make me slip?”
