“How did you know?” Ranita blurted out, looking surprised at Brendon’s phone and reaching out to take it.
In his phone, Holly had sent her a picture. The photo showed her leaving the hotel with Makhi, accompanied by a derogatory comment: “Bro, see how Ranita treats you!”
“Ranita has no shame. She hooks up with one after another, and now even Makhi fell for it.”
Ranita’s anger surged as she looked at the messages.
“Holly seems to be well-informed. She knows wherever I appear!” Ranita snorted coldly, handing the phone back to Brendon, infuriated. “Yes, I went to the hotel with Mr. Terry. So what?!”
Ranita turned around to leave in anger.
“Ranita!” Brendon quickly caught up with her, but she gave him a cold shoulder, behaving like an angry cat.
“Ranita!” In the elevator, Brendon grabbed her wrist. “Why are you so angry?”
“I…” Ranita’s voice was about to raise, but the elevator doors suddenly opened, revealing another guest who glanced at them and stood in the far corner.
With someone else present, Ranita couldn’t vent her anger and could only resist the urge to shake off Brendon’s hand.
As soon as they reached their floor, Ranita quickly walked out.
Brendon silently followed her, and it wasn’t until they entered the room that he forcefully pulled her back, pressing her against the wall, his large hand clutching her waist tightly, his tone also a bit aggressive. “Ranita! Shouldn’t you be angry with me?”
Ranita clenched her teeth, glaring at him in frustration. “Brendon, let go, don’t touch me!”
Brendon furrowed his brows, his gaze falling on her reddened neck.
Her fair skin made any marks stand out! Although a large portion was covered by her black, long hair, a glimpse of redness was still visible.
As if someone had forcefully rubbed it or kissed it?
Brendon’s aura turned icy, his pitch-black eyes seeming like turbulent waves, and his voice gritted through his teeth. “What did Makhi do to you?”
This bastard!
He actually believed it?!
Ranita held her breath, her heart feeling sour as if steeped in lemon juice, making her extremely uncomfortable.
Couldn’t Brendon trust her a bit more?
“With such redness on your neck, it couldn’t be that Makhi…” Brendon found himself unable to continue his sentence. Whenever he thought of someone kissing Ranita, anger overwhelmed him, and he couldn’t help but want to punch someone.
Speaking of her neck only made Ranita even angrier.
She had been splattered with blood in public, already feeling disgusted, and now she was being suspected…
“Heh! Brendon, I am a single woman. It’s none of your business who I go to the hotel with or what I do with them!” Ranita gritted her teeth, her rebellious spirit rising.
She just didn’t want to explain.
“Ranita!” Brendon, consumed by anger, bit down on her neck. Ranita was forced to turn her head, revealing more of her neck, which was now red all the way to her collarbone.
Not only her neck, but it seemed to extend below her collarbone as well.
The anger continued to surge, making Brendon lose control of his rationality as he bit down harder on her skin.
The pain spread.
Ranita, in agony, growled in a low voice, “Brendon, are you a dog? It hurts!”
As if seeking revenge, Brendon not only didn’t let go but continued biting.
“Brendon, let go!” Ranita was so angry that her head felt dizzy. She used all her strength to push him away, her eyes filled with fury. “Get out!”
