Indeed, she is a cunning fox.
Ranita picked up her bag and stood up. “I’ve left the check with you. If you need anything, feel free to contact me.”
Ranita returned to her hotel. As soon as she got out of the car, a familiar sedan stopped behind her. She raised an eyebrow and turned to look, only to see a glimpse of familiar eyes and eyebrows as the car door opened.
Ranita turned and walked away.
The man followed closely, and just as she was about to open the hotel room door, he suddenly grabbed her waist from behind and pushed her into the room.
“Brendon!” Ranita pushed him irritably, but her body was forcibly turned, and she crashed into his embrace.
The room was dark, but Brendon accurately held her chin and captured her lips.
Their breaths were cut off, and the passionate kiss stole Ranita’s heart in an instant. Her back heated up, and her mind became equally hot, unable to think straight.
“Ranita… I missed you…” the man whispered in her ear, his voice husky and filled with a sticky warmth, stirring her heart.
Ranita responded with a soft mewl, clutching his shirt at his waist, blushing deeply. It took her a while to find her voice and say, “Let go of me.”
“Is Ayaan here?”
“He’s with Olivia.” As soon as Ranita finished speaking, she realized that his breath was getting closer to her ear. Waves of heat seemed to wash over her, and her skin instantly flushed.
Ranita’s mind became even more muddled.
Delicate kisses spread from her earlobe, gentle and tender, as if enveloping her in a spring breeze, making her body weak, unable to stand on her legs.
The kisses lingered on her neck, sending shivers down her skin.
“Brendon…” Ranita murmured, her throat dry and husky, her voice incredibly alluring.
The atmosphere grew hotter.
A night lamp quietly lit up.
Ranita felt that if they continued like this, things might go beyond her control. She actually had something to ask Brendon, and she tried to calm herself down.
“Brendon, I have something to ask you.”
“Go ahead,” Brendon said, kissing her neck, his tone slightly muffled. “Since Ayaan is not here, let me kiss you a little more.”
Ranita blushed at his words.
Brendon used to be quite fierce, but he rarely said seductive things. And she didn’t need him to, as long as he gave her a kiss or a look, she couldn’t resist.
“Just wait… I really have a question to ask you.” Ranita tried to push him away, but his dominance was too strong, tightly enveloping her, and after a few gentle brushes, there was no continuation.
Ranita felt her mind becoming hotter and hotter.
But the intense stimulation filled her brain, making her both eager and nervous.
“Take your time and ask.”
“I…” Ranita’s chin was tickled by his short hair, making her chin itch. “Brendon, did you really break off the engagement with Shannon?”
“Yeah! I went to her home yesterday.”
Ranita’s heart tumbled, she tilted her chin up, her heart feeling both warm and sour. “Did they agree?”
“Forcing happiness won’t lead to true happiness, but they will agree.” His words seemed a bit perfunctory. Ranita snorted and pursed her lips. “Was Shannon hospitalized because of this? Did you go see her?”
Brendon looked up at her, his bright eyes resembling a sky full of stars.
Suddenly, a smile appeared in his eyes.
He leaned closer, the smile turning into tenderness as he lowered his head and kissed her lightly. His voice was soft, like feathers brushing against her heart.
He said, “I didn’t go see her, afraid that you would be angry.”
