Ranita was also feeling uneasy.

Brendon got into the car, and Shannon hurriedly followed. She looked at the man with innocent eyes and pleaded, “Brendon, can you listen to my explanation?”

Seeing her still trying to defend herself, not mentioning the harm she had caused Ranita, Brendon’s expression turned icy.
“Shannon, I went to your cousin Carlee’s house earlier. She told me everything…”
Shannon was thunderstruck.
If Brendon had already met Carlee, then there was no room for redemption in this matter.

At the mention of Brendon, Ranita sighed, “Daddy has something to do. We won’t disturb him.”
“Oh, right. I’ll video call Grandma later. Remember to talk to Grandma properly, and also comfort Uncle. They’re angry right now.”
Ayaan immediately asked with concern, “Will they spank me?”
“They won’t, but I will!” With that, Ranita grabbed Ayaan and playfully spanked his little bottom. “It was too late last night, so I couldn’t bear to spank you. Tell me, why did you go with Holly? Aren’t you afraid of never seeing me and Uncle again?”
The little one looked aggrieved but also knew he had done wrong.
“She said she would take me to Kurima to find Daddy, and I thought you were here, so I came!” He paused. “Besides, you said she’s my aunt, right? She shouldn’t sell me.”
Ayaan blinked his adorable big eyes and confidently added, “And I have a watch. If there’s danger, I’ll call you.”
