Holly noticed that Amiya suddenly stopped talking and asked curiously, “Mom, why aren’t you saying anything?”
“Mom, Shannon is so pitiful! She’s been waiting for so many years to get married, and now Ranita comes back with a child to stir up trouble. She must be heartbroken!”
“You should help her!”
Amiya snorted, “Do I need you to tell me that?” Amiya hadn’t heard from Ranita in years but her hidden disgust had not diminished. Especially during this birthday banquet where Brendon didn’t even come back because of her. She wished she could tear Ranita apart.
“Even if Ranita had give birth to a son to our family, she can forget about coming back,” Amiya waved her hand at Holly. “By the way, Diego’s birthday banquet is coming up soon. Don’t you like Chris? Prepare yourself and get a gift for him.”
Upon hearing this, Holly suddenly became spirited.
“Mom, don’t worry! Diego likes elegant things. I’ve already inquired about it. I’ll buy a traditional painting to give to him!”
“Alright! Go ahead!”
Amiya dismissed Holly and immediately contacted Shannon, speaking in a gentle tone. “Shannon, are you feeling better?”
“I’m feeling better now. Sorry for worrying you,” Shannon asked in a soft and tender voice, “What’s the matter?”
“Well… Holly went to Steland, and she said Brendon had some trouble and is hospitalized!”
“What? Brendon is in the hospital? What happened? Why didn’t anyone tell me…” Shannon immediately grew anxious. “I’ll pack my things and go to Steland right away.”
Amiya, having achieved her goal, naturally did not object.
Ranita had been busy these past few days, taking care of Ayaan and handling business for Monolith Technology. She also found time to visit Brendon.
Although Brendon was an adult, his fussiness was much worse than Ayaan’s. Whether it was the caregivers, nurses, or doctors, he wore a cold expression that frightened people every day.
He even complained that the food Allen bought wasn’t delicious and insisted on coming to Ranita’s side to eat.

Ayaan was the happiest of all. After his health improved, he occasionally showed his mischievous side, occasionally making Brendon furious.
Ranita carefully timed her visits to see Brendon but unexpectedly encountered Shannon in the corridor.
Shannon was dressed in a beautiful dress, with long black straight hair cascading down her head. Her delicate and pitiful face, which was clearly the product of being raised in an affluent family, attracted attention.
