After Jedidiah left, Ranita went to find Brendon.
“Ranita, is Ayaan asleep?” Brendon’s face remained calm despite Jedidiah’s visit.
“Yeah! He’s sleeping,” Ranita helped him tidy up his clothes and handed him a glass of water. “I’ll sit with you for a while.”
“I want an apple. Peel it for me!” Brendon ordered Ranita to do the work. She didn’t say anything and quietly peeled it, even cutting it into small pieces for him to eat.
Brendon ate some and suddenly said, “You used to be so thoughtful when I worked in the study.”
“Yeah!” Ranita nodded lightly.
Brendon was about to say something when his phone rang. Caleb called him to report on company matters, and Ranita didn’t want to listen so she quickly left.
However, as soon as she stepped out of the door, she received a call from Marlon.
“Ms. Bowman, good news!” Marlon chuckled over the phone. “Robert and Sofie have completely fallen out! Sofie tried suing but found that Amiya wouldn’t help her at all. She’s angry but can’t do anything about it now; she plans on secretly transferring her assets…”
Robert had been at Boulderland Mansion for many years and had gained Amiya’s trust long ago compared to Sofie who was only a distant relative; anyone with eyes could see who was more important in Amiya’s eyes.
Sofie and Robert argued fiercely, but when they considered Amiya’s face, Robert didn’t dare to do anything to Sofie.
Both sides reached a strange balance.

“I prepared a letter to send to Robert.”
Ranita lightly curved her lips, “Thank you, Mr. Goodman. I’ll be giving you a raise this year!”
“These are things I should do.” Marlon paused and continued, “I’m planning to go back to Steland in a few days. I wonder if you have some free time to have a meal.”
Ranita agreed.

Holly’s face was unpleasant from the moment she got off the plane. Once she entered Boulderland Mansion, she became so angry that she smashed several cups.
“What are you doing?” Amiya asked her with annoyance. “Why did you come back from Steland so quickly?”
“Mom!” Holly, seeing Amiya looking so distressed, with red-rimmed eyes, complained, “It wasn’t my decision to come back. It was my brother who forced me to come back!”
“Mom, I’m telling you, I saw Ranita and that child…” Holly quickly explained, “You don’t know, that child looks so much like my brother!”
Amiya’s expression didn’t look good. “Are you saying your brother was hospitalized and in a coma?”
“Yes! Mom, you didn’t know?” The news of Brendon being hospitalized and even in a coma had been suppressed. Even Boulderland Mansion had no one daring to talk about it.
Holly knew, but she was so angry that she forgot about it! It wasn’t until she came to her senses and was sent back.
“Ungrateful child! The people around you are all useless!” Amiya finished venting her anger and asked, “Is that child really Brendon’s?”
“It seems so…”
“Have you done a paternity test? Didn’t I tell you to bring the person back?” Amiya coldly looked at Holly. “You can’t handle anything!”
“Mom! Can you blame me for this? You know how terrible my brother is… What can I do when he’s watching my every move? Besides, that child is not an easy one… Just a little brat over three years old and yet…” Holly gritted her teeth. She wanted to complain, but it was too embarrassing to say that a three-year-old child bullied her.
“It doesn’t matter!” Holly pursed her lips and didn’t want to say any more.
“Fine! I’ll find someone else to handle this matter! You just came back. Shannon hasn’t been in a good mood these days. Spend more time with her…” Amiya paused, an idea forming in her mind.
