**Annabelle**
I kicked my shoes off enjoying the comforts of my home. Preparing a really warm bath, I spent almost thirty minutes in the bath tub. Different thoughts were running in my head. I ended up counting the ceilings in my bedroom.
*The Next Day*
By the time I finished with my chores, taking a bath and getting dressed, my phone chimed and a message from Fallon came up containing the time and place of meeting. It would be during lunch period which meant I still had a little time for my daily activities.
To be honest, I had no idea where to start. I fooled myself by saying Stephanie needed to be put behind bars above anything else. Now that it’s happened, I have to face reality. Achieve my long time dream. I made a promise to myself that I intend to full fill at any cost.
I need investors and I need them now. My company suffered a big loss as a result of my scandal. I’m going to have to work twice as hard to get any one to give me their money.
I met a few but each and every one of them made it clear that they’re currently available. I needed to find someone in a hurry.

My mood had totally reduced drastically. I just got off the phone with the tenth potential investor. He didn’t even try to hide his disgust after finding out it was Annabelle Sinclair. He hung up in the most rude manner. I don’t blame him. I understand his concerns.
People throw hateful glares at me when I pass by them. Some even openly mock me. They get joy from seeing me sad and it hurts but there’s nothing I can do about it. I feel a sense of deja vu because it’s like college all over again.

My day couldn’t get any more stressful. I decided it was time to take the bull by the horn and finally meet up with Fallon. I need to know what he say to say.
I drove slowly to the meeting place reminding myself that the past has to stay in the past. Nothing should change.
I sighted him from afar dressed in casual clothes. I averted my eyes almost immediately and quickened my pace to meet up.
We both walked into the restaurant and surprisingly, it was empty.
“Hi…”
I forced a smile although I could break down any moment from now.
“Yeah hi.”
I played with the hem of my shirt.
“So, I wanted to talk to you.”
“If it’s about us…”
“It’s not.”
He cut me short making me flush.
“I know what Stephanie did to you, ruined your image and all. I also know you’re in a very critical stage in your company. I also know it’s been your dream for a very long time. I also know my company is looking to expand…”
“You aren’t seriously expecting me to sell
”
I exclaimed a little shocked.
“I’m not. I want us to be partners.”
“What!”
“You’re kidding right?”
“I’m not. I’ll give you the capital you need and you’ll still be in control of your company but I want to be involved too. We’ll see each other every day and get closer. That’s my proposition. Annabelle we both know you need this so please say yes.”
His eyes twinkled and I looked away. There’s something about the way he said “see each other everyday” that has me shaken up. I don’t know if I’ll be able to do that but he’s right, I really do need this so…
“Alright then. My answer is…..”
**Ava**
I got into my car throwing curse words at everything and everyone. I’m fucking loosing my shit right now. I drove like a mad woman to the location. Stepping down from my car, my heels clicked against the floor as I rushed towards the corner to where he stood like the mad man he was.
“Nelson you piece of shit!”
I cursed raising my hand smacking him hard.
“You can hit me all you want but it doesn’t change the fact. I won’t let this go!”
“I told you. The baby isn’t yours!”
“Well, I guess we’ll find out soon enough right. I had a test done.”
“How did you do that!”
“You don’t want to know. Inside an envelope is the true father of your baby. I had in anonymously done. If that child isn’t mine, I’ll leave you alone but if it is, I swear to God I won’t go down without a fight.”
“Where’s the fucking envelope.”
“Right here.”
He reached into his pocket bringing it out.
“It’s still sealed and if it turns out positive for me, you can contact the doctor.”
“The child isn’t yours!”
“Let’s find out.”
He retorted as he opened the envelope.
“Give it, I’ll read it.”
I snatched it from his grip, opening it up fully.
Taking a deep breath, I read out it’s content and all the colour was literally drained from my face.
