**Ava**
I didn’t expect Annabelle to be at the restaurant where Fallon and I were to have dinner. It crossed my mind that she might have planned it but I immediately waved it off because I picked the restaurant coupled with the fact that I decided to trust my husband and Annabelle.
I meant what I said about putting the past behind us. It’s all a coincidence and nothing more. Dinner was going better than expected without any drama. Once we’re done with our meal, I’ll request for the cheque so we can leave.
Suddenly, my phone began ringing. I checked the ID and my heart literally skipped a beat. I fiddled with the hem of my gown hanging up.
Seconds later, I nervously excused myself and rushed outside giving him a call back.
“Why did you call me!”
I thundered in rage the second the answer tone clicked.
“Is that any way to talk to me…”
“I don’t give a fuck. Do not call me again. I mean it. Do not call me.”
I fired harshly and hung up. I couldn’t help but hiss before straightening my gown and plastering a smile on my face. Like nothing just happened, I walked back into the restaurant only to meet Fallon’s seat empty as well as Anna’s.
I took a deep breath so I wouldn’t jump into conclusions. Trust is the key.
**Annabelle**
I took a deep breath watching the man in front of me. He’ll have to make the first move or else we might end up standing here till eternity.
After what seemed like forever, he cleared his throat still not breaking eye contact.
“I need to talk to you. It’s important. Can we please meet up?”
“N…..”
I almost declined but considered it. If I talked to him, he’ll say whatever he has to say and I can finally close this chapter and start a new one. If I don’t, we’ll just keep going back and forth.
“Text me when and where. This would be the very last time Fallon.”
I warned sternly. Without waiting for a response, I walked away.

On getting back to my seat, I noticed Ava’s eyes on me suspiciously.
“It’s not your fault she can’t keep her husband.”
My subconscious remarked rudely. I rolled my eyes and faced my food unable to keep the smug smile away from my lips. Fallon arrived seconds later taking his seat and we ate in silence. The only thing I could think about was my meeting with him tomorrow and what he possibly had to say to me.
My thoughts ran wild with each possibility. It has to be related to us somehow. He did say he wouldn’t give up so what could be so special.

After about half an hour, Richard and I called it a day. After squabbling on who would get the cheque we agreed on splitting it equally.
He helped me with my seat placing his jacket over my arm. Fallon and Ava seemed to leaving as well. I cringed at the thought of how the rest of their evening might go. I don’t even know why my mind would dart to their bed room affairs.
We arrived in separate cars so Richard helped me to mind once again getting the door.
“Thank you for today. It was refreshing.”
I said truthfully earning a charming smile from him. My eyes unconsciously darted towards his lips the same time he leaned in for a kiss. I knew I said I wanted normal but this was going too far. I didn’t move but the moment our lips were about to touch, I gently ducked away.
He smiled sadly but nodded clearly understanding the situation.
“I’m sorry.”
I mumbled under my breath and got into the car.
“It’s alright. I’ll call you.”
I ignited the engine and drove off still with only one thought in mind.
“My meeting with Fallon.”
