Brendon was lost in painful memories. He had a solemn expression as he rested his head on the woman’s shoulder, his voice hoarse as he said, “I’m sorry, Ranita!” Even through their clothes, she could feel his breath.
“It’s not me you should be apologizing to,” Ranita pursed her lips and chuckled softly.
“His father personally gave him that label. Impressive isn’t it?”
Brendon pursed his lips but didn’t say anything else.
Ranita’s heart was bleeding.
Brendon reached out and hugged Ranita tightly with a hoarse voice saying, “Ranita, I’m sorry! I know nothing can make up for what I said… I’m sorry!”
“Let go of me!” Ranita pounded on him with force while Brendon let her hit him.
“What good does apologizing do? Brendon, Ayaan is my child alone; he has no father so don’t show up in front of him!” With forceful push, she got off the car after opening the door herself.
Ranita, whose mind was clouded with anger, took a few steps and finally remembered that it was her car. Why was she the one walking?!
She turned back and kicked the car door.
“You! Get out!”
Brendon opened the door, and his long lips got a bit of her lipstick on them, looking ridiculously funny! Ranita was initially very angry, but suddenly she felt like laughing…
“Ranita, you haven’t eaten. Let’s go have a meal!” Brendon gestured with his hand, though he didn’t actually grab her hand. He felt genuinely guilty towards Ranita.
“No need, I can’t eat!” Ranita got into the car herself without saying another word and left immediately.

Shannon, wearing a snow-white dress and barefoot, was sitting on a chair, talking to someone through a video call. The other person kept sending her numerous photos.
Then a female voice came through, “Miss Murphy, I’ve sent you the things you wanted. When will you send me the money?”
“Why the rush?” Shannon impatiently replied, then she flipped through the photos. All the people in the pictures were Brendon, but because they were taken from a distance, their faces were unclear.
In addition to Brendon, Ranita also appeared in the photos, in different settings.
The last photo was the most recent one, showing Brendon and Ranita entering a restaurant together!
“Miss Murphy, I’m in urgent need of money here. Please send it to me quickly!”
Shannon pretended not to hear and stared at Ranita with a malicious look in her eyes, as if she wanted to devour her! And Brendon, claiming to be busy with work, what happened? He secretly went to find Ranita… Could it be that their old flame has been reignited?
