“That day, I followed Mr. Stuart and accidentally took a photo of this child. You should have guessed his identity…” Julia didn’t finish her sentence before Shannon screamed like crazy, “Impossible! Didn’t Ranita lose the baby in her belly?”
When Ranita jumped out of the car to escape, she was seriously injured.
Shannon investigated Ranita’s medical records and found that the baby in her belly had already died! Suddenly, Shannon calmed down. That medical record might be fake!
“I don’t know about that! But you can tell who this child belongs to just by looking at him, Miss Murphy. You better start preparing!” Julia was also confused at first but she had always hated Ranita and all the grievances and hatred from the past four years were all directed towards her now.
Now, Julia thought it was great!
As long as Shannon knew about it, she wouldn’t let Ranita off easily.
“Julia … this child cannot stay here! You know what to do!” Shannon laughed softly with a pure expression but looked very conflicted.
“Miss Murphy, I don’t understand what you mean!” After pausing for a moment, Julia said, “I’m just helping you take photos of Mr. Stuart. I can’t commit murder.”
Julia hated Ranita but loved to sit back and watch them fight each other.
“Julia … don’t you need money? As someone who is unfamiliar with life abroad without any money would be tough!” Shannon generously spoke up, “It’s just a small child; even if we push him into the canal carelessly he could drown! If you do well then I’ll give you a lot of money.”
A lot of money?
Julia was tempted by these words!
A three-year-old child could disappear due to any accident…
“What do you think? Would you consider it?” After finishing speaking, Shannon smiled lightly, “Don’t you hate Ranita too? If she loses this child, then she will definitely go crazy, right?! Don’t tell me that you don’t want to see your enemy go insane?”
Julia became more tempted.
After a while, she gritted her teeth and said, “Fine! I want one million pounds!”
Shannon ended the call and cleared all the information.
Ranita was feeling terrible.
She parked the car by the riverside and took a deep breath before making a call to Steve. “Dr. Pearson, take Ayaan back to Slovenia tomorrow right away.”
“What’s wrong? Did something happen?” Steve asked, concerned.
Ranita pressed her lips together. “I ran into Brendon. He knows about Ayaan’s existence.”
Ayaan was not a burden, and she didn’t really want to hide it.
But what if Brendon tried to take the child away?
“Brendon knows? Is he in Berlin?” Steve was also surprised. He went to Slovenia three years ago, and by that time, Ayaan was already born. He came with a bag of luggage and opened a clinic near her house.
“Yes! We met while discussing a project.”
“What a coincidence! You rarely come to Berlin, and you just happened to run into him!” Since Ranita went to Slovenia, most of her projects were in Arabic-speaking regions.
“Yeah!” Ranita also found it quite coincidental. “I don’t want him to meet Ayaan. So, you take Ayaan… back first!”
Steve remained silent for a few seconds before saying, “But I promised Ayaan that I would take him to the zoo tomorrow and bring him back the day after tomorrow.”
After a pause, Steve reassured her, “Ranita, you don’t have to be so nervous! We will protect Ayaan.”
