Chapter 385 Mr. Stuart Looks Like Him

Book:A Successful Career After Divorce Published:2024-6-4

Brendon looked coldly at the little guy named Ayaan. Why did he think Brendon was his dad?
“I’m not your dad! So, I won’t tell you a story!” Brendon paused, feeling like he was arguing with a child. “Don’t talk to me anymore. If you need something, ask the flight attendant.”
Ayaan pouted and closed his eyes to sleep.
Without Ayaan bothering him, Brendon fell asleep quickly.
He didn’t wake up until the announcement reminded passengers that the plane was about to descend. Ayaan slept soundly next to him. After staying at the airport for so long, their daytime flight had turned into an overnight one. Such a young child couldn’t have stayed awake.
Brendon wondered what kind of mother would let such a young child fly alone and say he wanted to find her when they landed!
When they landed, Ayaan was still sleeping while Brendon got off first with his things.
He waited for Caleb in the VIP lounge to fetch their luggage. As soon as he opened his phone, he found several messages, most of them from Shannon.
“Brendon, did you have a fight with your mother? She said she couldn’t reach you on the phone!”
“I know you’re busy, but it’s her birthday banquet, and you should come back.”
“Brendon, if you see my messages… give me a call… I’ve been worried about you for so many days. Also, remember to rest well while you’re busy outside. I’ll take care of her at home.”
Brendon casually read the messages and closed them without replying. After sitting for a while, he saw the little guy, Elio, being led into the waiting room by a flight attendant, carrying a small water bottle. When Elio saw Brendon, his eyes lit up, but seeing Brendon’s cold expression, he lowered his head.
Elio could be annoying, but he was undeniably cute. Brendon suddenly thought of Ranita; if they had a child, it might look like this…
“Elio, your mom is waiting for you outside. Let me take you there!” The flight attendant led Elio away, and Caleb had just returned. He glanced at the child, almost bumping into a pillar because his gaze was fixed.
“Caleb, are you okay?”
“Fine…” Caleb looked at the gradually disappearing figure of the child, then at Brendon. Frowning, he said, “Mr. Stuart, that kid just now… didn’t you find him somewhat familiar?”
“Hmm?”
“I just felt like…,” Caleb hesitated, wondering if it was possible. “What?”
Caleb looked at Brendon, took a deep breath, and said, “Mr. Stuart, didn’t you notice… this kid looks a bit like you?”
Boom!
As if struck by a thunderbolt directly in the heart.
Brendon chased after them hastily, but a slight delay had already cost him. The airport was vast, and there was no trace of Elio. Brendon sprinted towards the passenger exit.
Where? Where?
How could he not find them? Brendon felt an urgent sense of frustration.
Then, he saw Ayaan’s profile, being held by someone. The woman holding the little guy had a tall figure, with long wavy hair…
Brendon’s heart seemed to be fiercely struck.
Painful, yet suddenly filled with determination.
“Ranita!” Brendon didn’t care about the cold outside, a mouthful of cold air hit him. But he was still a step too late; Ranita had already boarded the car with Elio and quickly left.
Brendon chased after them, screaming desperately, “Ranita! Ayaan!”
