Book:A Successful Career After Divorce Published:2024-6-4

Although amniocentesis carries risks, fortunately Ranita was not too far along in her pregnancy and the fetus was relatively small. Carlee, being a professional, also helped the situation.
Yasmin let her stay in the hospital for two days before releasing her.
On the day of discharge, Steve brought flowers to pick her up. Ranita didn’t dare tell Dylan about it and only said that she went on vacation.
“You’re pregnant now and need to rest well. Let me hire a caregiver to help you,” Steve paused before adding, “My previous servant used to take care of me but recently got bored and wanted a job. She’s very nice.”
Ranita shook her head. “Thank you Dr. Pearson but I won’t be staying here for long.”
Ranita had already decided to go to Greece within a month at most.
“It’s okay; she’s a familiar person who can come over and cook for you without disturbing you,” Steve said after another pause before adding, “You’re pregnant now and living alone so I’m worried.”
After thinking it over, Ranita agreed.
“Okay then thank you!”
Steve immediately made a call setting up when Elissa would come over to cook meals at home. Her voice sounded cheerful through the phone which indicated that she was easy-going person.
“Oh by the way do you have any news about what I asked?”
Steve pursed his lips with an unhappy expression as he expected; Tranquil Valley Private Hospital did not have records of this surgery case internally.
“Ranita, this time around it seems like Amiya is prepared since she dared do it! Tranquil Valley Private Hospital has this problem so I’m responsible for fixing it, but Amiya is part of board directors with complex power struggles going on there. So, even if I expose everything, they might not act against her because of this incident.”
Steve felt extremely disappointed with this Hospital.
“Are you going to Greece?” Suddenly, Steve didn’t want stay at this hospital anymore as he looked at Ranita who was biting her lip, “Yes… I plan on studying there for some time.”
“But there are too many things going on here which makes me feel quite annoyed,” added Ranita.
Steve nodded his head saying “okay” while making sure they stayed in contact after leaving each other’s company.
After Steve left, Ranita opened up the fridge full of peaches sent by Brendon previously.
Ranita sighed and closed the refrigerator, grabbing a trash can to throw away the leftovers. As she prepared to take out the garbage, she hesitated. She couldn’t bear to part with it.
She shook her head at herself and laughed softly. Why was she acting like a fool over Brendon? He wasn’t even that great. Why did she keep thinking about him?
Ranita didn’t want to dwell on Brendon any longer, so she focused on work instead. She had an important meeting tomorrow for a project that Chris had asked her to help with.
Just as Ranita was getting into her work groove, her phone rang.
“Ring ring!” It was Vincent calling.
“Vincent, what’s up? Is something wrong?” Ranita rubbed her tired eyes and stretched out her limbs.
“How have you been lately?”
“I’ve been good,” Ranita replied.
“Have you received the invitation from Kurima Foreign Studies University yet? This year marks their 100th anniversary and they’re inviting outstanding alumni back for celebrations.”
