“Since the students just finished their exams, it should be lively to hold a sports meeting,” Vincent said with a smile. He worked as a teacher at the school and had access to inside information.
Ranita checked her email and found an invitation in her inbox. However, she had been busy lately and hadn’t seen it.
“Starting tomorrow?” Ranita hesitated. “I have a project to discuss tomorrow, so I might not be able to go.”
“Tomorrow is the sports meeting. If you can’t make it, that’s okay. The formal anniversary celebration is the day after tomorrow,” Vincent smiled. “Will I see you in the auditorium then?”
While Ranita was talking with Vincent, people started asking about attending on Facebook group chat which had been inactive for some time.
The invitation was sent only to outstanding students who were expected to attend directly into the auditorium for celebrating 100 years of school history.
Those who didn’t receive an invitation could still come and play around.
Even if it was just a reunion of classmates, it would be worth attending!
Moreover, tomorrow and the day after were weekends; some well-informed people said there would also be sports events tomorrow so they already planned on going together!
For a while, there was much excitement in the group chat.
“While you’re at it, why don’t you grab dinner with our professor? He misses you terribly! And all your younger schoolmates want to meet you too!” Vincent teased.
“Why?” Ranita asked puzzledly.
“That’s all thanks to our professor; he talks about those students every day saying they have no talent unlike Ranita from XX class who is beautiful and smart making things easy…” Vincent imitated their professor’s tone before laughing softly, “There are many of your fans among my classes!”
Ranita laughed along, “Really? I think they’re not my fans but rather we share common enemies!”
“Haha! You see right through me!” Vincent joked again, “It’s mainly because you’re too outstanding!”
After many years since its establishment, Kurima Foreign Studies University had produced only a handful of students who had been praised by their professors. Among them were Vincent and Ranita.
Vincent, who entered the Department of Translation and Interpretation, was often seen in the news and gained widespread recognition at Kurima Foreign Studies University.
Ranita, on the other hand, was expected to follow in his footsteps and contribute to the country by joining the same department. However, she surprised everyone by starting her own studio instead.
“Vincent, please don’t praise me anymore! I’m starting to feel embarrassed,” Ranita laughed as they chatted.
“I’ll check my schedule and see if I can attend,” she added.
As they continued talking, Ranita suddenly thought of Bianca and mentioned it to Vincent. He was surprised to learn that she had also joined Sunshine Charity Foundation established by Bianca herself.
Meanwhile at Stuart’s Corp., Brendon frowned as he looked at Caleb.
“Still no answer?” he asked impatiently.
“I’m sorry Mr. Stuart but Ms. Bowman’s line is still busy. She might be on another call,” Caleb replied nervously while sweating profusely on his forehead.
He didn’t dare say that it could also mean that she was intentionally ignoring their calls which would be even more embarrassing for Brendon.
“I’ll keep trying Ms. Bowman’s line…” Caleb started saying but Brendon abruptly stood up from his seat with car keys in hand, “You take charge of the meeting later; I’ll go find her myself.”
Brendon walked out quickly as he had been wanting to see Ranita for days but couldn’t find an excuse until now when fate seemed to have finally brought them together again.
