He likes her at first sight. She’s beautiful and attractive. Though she didn’t say anything different from what his mother had told him about her.
She’s divorced and lost a pregnancy. She confirmed that and said to him they could only be friends.
But for being open minded, he would make her fall in love with him. She looked reserved and he likes such women.
Rita herself was full of thoughts, not of Davis but Julia. He came to see her at work and wants them to go for lunch and talk things between each other.
She refused him bluntly and said harsh words at him. She loved him but cannot be with him again, she can’t just forgive him for what he did to her.
Julia went to see Tim and Lee that evening and took Amaya with him. When the boys saw her, they went to hold her hands.
” She’s your cousin now, treat her as one..” Julia said, getting the kids acquainted with themselves.
A paediatrician has examined Amaya and said she only needs to be nourished and given the proper diet.
Julia instructed the cook to prepare Amaya’s duet separately ensuring that it contains all the nutrients required for proper growth.
” How are you Amaya?” Tim Li asked and the little girl shyly answered. She held Julia, as if he was going to leave her.
When Julia went in to see the adults, he left Amaya with the boys and when he returned, he heard her laughing happily.
Julia was happy, she’s getting acquainted with the boys and that means she would be joining them soon for tutorials.
He would drop her off at Junxie’s mansion to be with Tim and Lee before he goes to work.
He could take care of her but would want her to mingle with the boys and get taught by their tutors. Amaya also would be given a sound education as well.
Julia’s health was deteriorating. He was always having a pounding headache and knew he needed to go to the hospital at least.
He didn’t tell Lanre anything again about his insomnia. He was getting emaciated and beginning to lose interest in everything that makes him feel excited.
He dragged himself to the company and went to his office. He couldn’t do anything that morning and Junxie Li came to find him.
His brother hadn’t been feeling well he guessed. But Theresa had talked him into getting close to him to know what his challenge was.
He asked her to tell him what is wrong with him since she’s his friend and she replied by saying he Is his brother.
He saw Julia looking weak and sickly. He looked lean and just placed his head in the back rest of his chair.
Junxie drew closer to him and asked ” what is wrong with you?” But Julia didn’t answer him. He was almost dying before he came to ask him what was wrong with him.
” If you don’t say what is wrong with you, when you eventually die, everyone will know what killed you..” Junxie Li declared.
Julia eyed him “Are you just noticing me or waiting for me to die?” He snapped at his brother.
Because he was wrong, he wasn’t related to him as his brother. He should wait for him to die first before claiming his corpse.
“I am asking you what is wrong with you now. Aren’t you going to talk?” Junxie requested.
Julia just closed his eyes and didn’t answer him. Junxie got closer and touched his temple, he withdrew his hand back almost immediately.
Julia’s temple was like being on fire. His temperature was high and Junxie just stared at him.
“You are having a fever and \didn’t go to the hospital? What is wrong with you that you have to come to the office when you are not feeling well?” Junxie reprimanded him.
“You are now concerned about me right? When it all started did you care if I die or I live? Weren’t you just interested in having a niece that never came to be?
Just leave me, let me die. And let’s see who will produce you a niece next time..” Julia snapped at him.
Junxie Li just looked at him and retorted “I thought you were love sick over your girlfriend that you usually got intertwined with in your office..”
“Let me be brother. Don’t worry about me, I will be fine..” Julia lied. How can he be fine with such a fever?
On the contrary he is happy that his brother finally came around. He would be fine if his brother becomes happy with him.
“Go to the lounge and lie down, I will call Lanre at once..”Junxie Li instructed and Julia didn’t stand up.
Junxie called Lanre and he said he was having a surgery and couldn’t come around. He called his personal doctor Zack and he asked to be given thirty minutes.
If he was going to stay till thirty minutes, Julia would be going home and he should meet him in his Mansion.
Junxie Li asked that Julia should go home in Company of his Chauffeur. After much persuasion, he stood up and left.
Zack attended to Julia and diagnosed him with having insomnia and it was getting into something psychological.
He was going to get into depression soon if nothing was done about it. Julia said he’s taken some pills but it just wasn’t working for him.
And he couldn’t sleep because he was having a nightmare. Doctor Zack said he would have to keep trying those pills and prescribed another one for her.
When Julia saw it, he said it was the first type of pills his doctor friend prescribed for him.
Zack prescribed another one and Julia said he would go get it and Zach left. As soon as he left, he stood up and took his car keys, going to find Rita.
But when he arrived, he saw her holding hands with another guy and getting into his car. He squinted.
Rita is seeing someone else already?
