“You are coming here for the first time ma’am, and this is my treat to say thank you for visiting our salon. Next time, we will bill you directly” the manager of the salon said and smiled.
Theresa Mo glanced at Rosa who appeared more surprised than her. She looked as if she didn’t understand what was happening.
“Thank you for coming. We look forward to seeing you again” the manager added and smiled, stretching her hand to her for a handshake.
Junxie and Rosa had been there earlier and the bills paid before services were rendered. But at Junxie’s instructions, they shouldn’t let Theresa know or have a clue of what was going to happen.
“Thank you Madam” Theresa Mo appreciated and looked at herself in the mirror and then at the manager’s friendly smile.
Such time and resources to make her look beautiful and yet she did it for free? She’s a good Samaritan then.
Rosa also said thank you and pulled Theresa Mo along. They turned and entered the boutique section of the salon.
The entire complex was owned by a single person. There’s a salon for both male and female and a boutique at its other end.
A makeup room was attached with an artist who knows their job well. Rosa stepped in and went to the section with dinner gowns.
A sales attendant was guiding them. Rosa pointed to a designer’s clothes and Theresa Mo pulled Rosa’s hand down.
They should go for something moderate and not too expensive. That she had Junxie’s limitless card doesn’t mean she shouldn’t be prudent in her spending.
The gown that Rosa pointed to was the highest grade in town and most expensive. It definitely would cost millions of yaun.
It’s a Maroon gown with glittering stones like diamonds all over it. Theresa liked it, it definitely would look splendid on her but she cannot afford it.
Rosa saw Theresa pulled her hand down and smiled silently. She wouldn’t have entered this boutique if Junxie didn’t have her back.
” What Theresa?” Rosa asked in a whisper. She pretended not to know what Theresa meant when she pulled her hand down.
“We can’t afford this dress. Let’s go for something cheaper” she whispered back and started walking away, holding Rosa’s hand.
But her friend refused to follow her. She pulled her wrist from Theresa’s grip and looked offended. The latter turned and winked at Rosa, but she turned her eyes away refusing to see her eyes.
Theresa wondered why her friend was behaving like her boys when they went to the grocery store. If they see something they want and ask her to buy it.
If she refused to buy it, they wouldn’t move from that spot. Rather they wear a frown and fold their little hands around their tiny chest.
That is exactly how Rosa is behaving now. Theresa chuckled and walked back to her friend. Before she could utter any word, Rosa asked:
” How can you embarrass me like this Theresa? Aren’t you Junxie Li’s girlfriend? The richest dude in town and you will be attending a party with him in a cheap dress?
You don’t even know your worth. Fine, I want you to dress in the latest edition of designers gowns and don’t worry about the payment” Rosa feigned annoyance.
Theresa Mo was speechless. She didn’t find the suitable words to retort at Rosa. She just stood and watched her friend converse with the sales girl.
She’s truly Junxie’s woman and needs to look cute for their first party together. But she doesn’t want to spend his money recklessly.
Theresa Mo ended trying that dress on and Rosa wouldn’t let her Change out of it. She looked beautiful and princessly.
Theresa blushed when she saw herself in the mirror. Rosa asked her to reserve the blushing until Junxie saw her in the dress.
She asked a makeup artist to apply light makeup on Theresa. While that was done, she sent a message to Junxie that his girlfriend was good to go.
Junxie smiled. He was at the engagement venue already and the diamond ring was with him. Everyone was there and waiting for Theresa to arrive.
He thanked Rosa and told her he would make it up to her. Picking his phone he called Theresa.
” Hello darling” Theresa Mo said as soon as she answered the phone. She had been waiting for his call for a while.
” Hello babe. Where are you?” He asked as if he didn’t know where she was already.
“I am actually at XY boutique. Rosa is here with me and we did a few shopping” she chimed. Junxie Li will be breath taken when he sees her that evening.
” It’s ok. I am sending my chauffeur to pick you up immediately. Just wait, he will meet you in a couple of minutes” Junxie Li instructed.
When Theresa Mo put her phone back into the bag, Rosa asked if that was President Li? Theresa said yes.
Rosa said in that case, she would visit the restroom. Theresa could leave when the chauffeur arrives.
The latter said ok. Rosa went away in full excitement and used the back door, slipping into her car and drove off.
Rosa had hardly driven off the premises when the chauffeur arrived. So soon, Theresa Mo thought. Was the chauffeur waiting in the backyard?
She stood up and went to get into the car. The chauffeur smiled, the future madam is an angel. She looked so impeccable and pretty.
Eldest master was lucky to have such a beautiful woman. He is handsome and his woman is pretty. No wonder their kids are super cute.
Within a five minutes drive, the chauffeur drove into a garden. She saw a few cars and some of them are familiar to her.
The entire place was decorated with flowers…
