Ri
“We really have to go!” I looked at my mom who was about to protest again.
“No, Ri. If your brothers can’t go, then so do all of you.” Dad spoke.
I looked at Tatay, trying to ask for his help. I heard him sigh. Confusion is in his face.
The four girls and I decided to go to Fraeia to start our training but it seems we have our one big problem, our parents and my brothers.
They don’t want us to go on our own especially my brothers with their mates.
I sighed.
“We have to go.” I said once again.
“No!” my four brothers spoke all together. I felt irritated with their behavior.
“You all know this time will come! We have to go to Fraeia and complete the prophecy!”
“No!” This time, my Mom and brothers spoke together. Their whining irritates me more and more. I can’t understand it.
I felt my head heat up. I don’t know how to explain everything to them when they already know what was supposed to happen.
The whining continued and my head started to ache. Suddenly, the surroundings blurred and everything turned black.
“H-E-L-P…” I heard screaming once again.
“Somebody, help us…”
“”What happened here?” I asked the girl who was crying.
“The humans. They… They attacked us. Too many of them… I.. I don’t know where to go… The p-pack house, g-gone… My parents, dead… Help me… please. I’m… I’m s-scared…” Tears continued to flow on her cheeks.
I cried, too, seeing her crying so hard. I tried to comfort her but I felt the world shake.
“Faster, Ri… Faster…” said the voice I very well knew…
“Ri, wake up!” Mom’s voice woke me. “Ri, why are you crying?” I touched my face and felt it wet.
Standing up, I looked at my sisters. “We really need to go to Fraeia as soon as possible.”
They nodded but once again I heard the protest of my family followed by a series of whining’s. My head started to ache once again.
“The four girls and I will go to Fraeia!” I spoke on my royal tone.
I saw my family flinched at my voice. “I don’t wish to use this to you but you give me no choice. You know this is coming and still you insist on what you want!” I looked at them in the eye but they all bowed their heads down.
I laid back on the couch and let my thoughts wander back to the girl.
We followed Tatay, who led us to a waterfall within the pack territory. After my decision last night, Mom, Dad and my brothers never said anything about our trip.
“This is as far as I can go, Ri. You have to do the rest.” I nodded and faced the water. I let my powers guide me with what to do.
“Hail, O, water Faeries, with thy powers, draw us a bridge to Fraeia. Open thy abyss and let us see the warmth of thy source. Hear my pleas, in the name of the Faerie Empress Brienne.”
The water bubbled and slowly rise. It started to form into pillars and floors. A few minutes more and a bridge of water was indeed formed connecting us to the mouth of the cave behind the waterfall that spilt into half and opened like a curtain.
We bid our last goodbye to our family before we stepped unto the bridge which was surprisingly sturdy. As the last foot stepped on the cave’s mouth, the water bridge shattered and the waters were back to the river.
“Thank you, water faeries.” I smiled at them as they bowed their heads to us.
“Now–,”I was cut off by loud growl.
“We are attacked!” Eana exclaimed.
