“Still cant.” he said chuckling. I huffed and looked outside the window. I waited and waited to arrive at our destination. And soon we reached as the car stopped.
I looked outside to see that we were outside at a beach. The beach was quiet and no one seemed to be there.
Gale opened the door for me as I went outside. “Go on.” Gale said nudging my shoulder. “Where? Where’s Xavier?” I asked him questioningly.
“Go and find your man.” he said before chuckling and crossing his hands. I nodded my head and stepped into the sands. After walking a few steps in front, I saw a note attached to a tree.
I went and took the note.
Hey love. I see you’ve reached. Now Follow the roses and come to me. I am waiting for you.
As I read this. I look up to see a trail of flowers. As he said, I followed the flowers while collecting them. Soon the trail ended and I stopped.
In front of me, I saw a trail of fairy lights. At the last rose I saw a note.
Almost there baby. Follow the fairy light. Come to me babygirl.
As told. I followed the trail. At the end of the trail, I saw a broad figure standing with his back faced towards me.
The closer I got I realised it was Xavier. I walked faster wanting to be in his arms. As I was about to hug him, he turn around. He was quickly caught me and hugged me back.
After some time we pulled away. “What’s all this?” I asked him looking around. He smiled at me. “I’ll tell you. Here.” he said handing me a white rose. I smiled as I took them.
He was wearing a navy blue suit which looked so nice on him. I saw he was looking me up and down at me. I blushed feeling his stares.
“You are looking exquisite, love.” he said in a husky voice. I blushed harder at that. “Thank you. You look good too.” I said shyly. He chuckled.
He turned us around and I gasped. The were candles in a heart shape with rose petals surrounding. I walked to the centre of the heart gazing at it. It was simply beautiful.
I felt Xavier wasn’t beside me and look back. I gasped in surprise.
He was in his knees with a velvet box in his hand. I didn’t know what to say. I was shocked and no words is coming out.
“My dear Bella, Meeting you was one of the best thing that happened to me, I am always grateful to my dad, for selecting you that day to be my personal assistant. The moment I looked into your eyes, I saw the next 60 years of my life, even more. The moment you said yes to become my girlfriend, my world starting revolving around you. I couldn’t see anyone else to spend the rest of my life. I know its soon, but will you please marry me?”
Speechless. That was what I was feeling. I didn’t know what to say. I was couldn’t find it in me to speak. I don’t know what to say.
But I know one thing. I want to spend the rest of my life with him. No one else but him. So without thinking twice, “Yes. Yes I want to marry you, Xavier.” I said as I felt tears.
Breathing out a sigh, he came and engulfed me into a hug as he picked me up and started to spin me around. I squealed in happiness.
And I truly was happy. He put me down as I heard people clap their hands and I looked around to see, Dean, Andrew, Ava, Emma, David, Sophia and Gale.
Everyone came out congratulating us. I was so happy. And so was everyone. This is one of the best days.
