Bella’s POV
Its been almost 1 month since everything happened. I still have nightmares but with Xavier beside me, Everything has been easier. He’s always there when I wake up from my nightmares.
If not for him, I have no idea what would have been of me. Right now we are watching movie in the living room. Xavier thought it would be nice to watch movie as we have been stressed the entire week,
Xavier has just bought a company and it has been tough on both of us. It was such a big issue as it wasn’t easy convincing the board members.
But he is Xavier King and he always get what he wants. And he did. So here we are watching Aladdin. It took me much convincing for him to watch this movie with me. But he finally agreed.
Suddenly his phone rang. “Hello?” he asked the other person. He excused himself to go and talk. I was watching him while he was talking. He was talking in hushed voice so I couldn’t hear him.
I shrugged it off and waited for him. After sometime he hang up and came back as we continued to watch the movie.
“Hey what was that about?” I asked him curiously. “Its nothing. Just work stuff.” he said as he shrugged it off. I nodded my head as we went back to watch movie.
The next day.
Xavier and I went to office together. Today seemed different. Xavier seemed anxious and nervous. He has also been keeping his distant from me. It was weird.
I asked him everything was alright. All he said that he was fine and just been stressed. After hearing that I shrugged it off believing what he said.
The moment we went inside the his office, he went to his desk and started to type something in his handphone. I scrunched my eyes and went off to my office.
I started on my work, there were quite some files in my desk that needed to be read and edited. So I quickly started on the files.
The day went by in a swift. Every once in awhile I take a look at Xavier only to see him busy in his phone. Most of the time I would see him gazing at me from far.
But today, he barely looked at me. I was starting to worry about him. Even during lunch, he didn’t talk much. He seemed nervous about something.
It was 6 and he came to my office. “Hey.” he said smiling at me. I smiled back at him. “Hey.” “I came here to tell that you can go back home.” he said avoiding my gaze.
“What about you? Aren’t you coming?” I asked him confused. “Erm, I have somewhere I have to go.” He said. “Where?” I asked him as he never tell about it to me.
“I’ll tell you later. Why don’t you pack up? I’ll have someone drop you off.” he said as he took a seat in front of me. Without giving much thought, I nodded my head.
I started to pack my things. Once I was done he guided me outside. As the lift open, he pulled me in for a kiss. “I’ll see you in awhile.” he said pulling away.
I nodded my head and got inside the lift. I waited till the doors open. As I walked out of the building, I saw Xavier’s driver. He had opened the car door for me.
I got in as he went to the driver’s seat and started the engine. During the ride back, I kept thinking what was going on. But nothing came up to my mind.
Xavier has never acted like this before. He would tell me if something was bothering him. But he wouldn’t tell me what was bothering him now, and that was worrying me.
I sighed when we reached the penthouse. I bid Gale farewell and went inside. I locked the house door and went straight into my room for a shower.
As I on the light and looked towards my bed, I saw a blue box with black ribbon. Confused, I went to open the box. When I saw what was inside, I gasped.
It was a pink tulle dress. I didn’t understand. I saw a white note and pick it up.
Hey love. I wanted to bring you on a date. Hence I bought you this dress. I hope you like it. I didn’t want to tell as I wanted it to be a surprise. Now get ready.”
I was surprised to say the very least. He plan all of this for me. I squealed in excitement. I quickly went and take a shower.
Once I was done, I came out and put on the dress. The dress fitted me perfectly. I went to the vanity when I saw another note. I picked it up and it was again Xavier.
Ok. Once you are ready go out and you’ll see Gale waiting for. I cant wait to see you. See you soon, babygirl.
I smiled reading it. I am so excited for this date. I quickly got ready wearing light make up. As soon I was done, I wore my pink sandals and went out to see Gale was standing outside.
I smiled as he opened the door for me to get in. He smiled as he closed the door and went to the driver seat. Soon he started the car,
“So Gale, where are we going?” I asked curiosity eating me alive. “Sorry. I cant tell you.” he said looking at the road. “Please.” I pouted.
