Yolanda Taylor realized she’d lost her concentration when CoCo came in.
She raised her hand and rubbed the bridge of her nose, “CoCo, what’s wrong?”
“Boss Yolanda, there’s a Miss Garcia who says she wants to see you.”
Yolanda Taylor responded instantly, there was only one person she knew with the last name Garcia, Beth Garcia.
“Ask her to come in.”
“Okay, boss Yolanda.”
CoCo hadn’t been out long before Beth Garcia pushed her way in, “Yolanda.”
It’s been one thing after another since Yolanda Taylor came back, and Beth Garcia was even more distressed to see her face a little pale.
“What brings you over?” Beth Garcia sat down on the sofa on one side and looked at Yolanda Taylor and pursed her lips, “Came to see you, and by the way, I told you that I’m pregnant.”
Yolanda Taylor was stunned for a moment and couldn’t help but smile when she responded, “Congratulations.”
But in fact, this is not even Beth Garcia’s main purpose of coming over today, she doesn’t believe in the matter of Yolanda Taylor and Gwen Fox getting married all of a sudden.
But Gwen Fox that way, unless he was really crazy, there was no way he would tell the media something like that.
Plus, in the past few days, Jerome Perot had heard that Gwen Fox seemed to be preparing for the wedding.
Beth Garcia thought it was unbelievable when she first heard that Gwen Fox and Yolanda Taylor were getting married, and now Gwen Fox is actually preparing for the wedding, and this morning, someone inside the circle photographed Yolanda Taylor being sent to work by Gwen Fox.
The fire that year Beth Garcia still vividly remember, she can not forget, Yolanda Taylor is even more unlikely to forget.
As a friend, she did not realize that Yolanda Taylor’s abnormality, Beth Garcia naturally could not let the tragedy of that year repeat itself.
That’s why she came here even though she knew it was a bit presumptuous.
Seeing her wanting to speak, Yolanda Taylor guessed what Beth Garcia wanted to ask.
She pursed her lips for a second, “I didn’t marry Gwen Fox by choice.”
“I know that, Yolanda!!!”
Beth Garcia finished before realizing she was getting a little emotional, “I’m sorry Yolanda, I-”
Yolanda Taylor looked at her and smiled, “It’s okay, thanks for caring about me Beth Garcia. you don’t have to worry about me so much, I’m not as stupid as I was back then.”
She brought up back then, breezing through it as if it was just a mistake made in her youthful ignorance.
Beth Garcia didn’t know what to say about some of the things that Gwen Fox had done, she was afraid of irritating Yolanda Taylor, and she was afraid that she would end up realizing that her emotions were even more run down.
Yolanda Taylor was the same way before her accident, and she said she was fine.
But what kind of person says they’re fine and then goes and sets themselves on fire?
Beth Garcia really wanted to kill Gwen Fox, but she could only think about it, she and Jerome Perot combined couldn’t beat Gwen Fox.
“Enough about that stuff, how many months pregnant are you?”
Yolanda Taylor opened her mouth to change the subject and Beth Garcia opened her mouth and swallowed back the words that had just been brewing in her mind, “A little over two months.”
“Ah, so next summer, you’ll be a mom.”
Yolanda Taylor said, smiling softly.
Her makeup was light today, and her whole body was gentle when she smiled.
Beth Garcia hadn’t seen Yolanda Taylor like this in a long time, and now that she saw her looking at her stomach and smiling like this, she couldn’t help but think that she might be overthinking things.
“Hmm.”
Beth Garcia’s personality had always been big and brash and bold, but now that she was pregnant, she was much gentler.
Yolanda Taylor looked at her and raised her eyebrows slightly, “Looks like I’ll have to prepare the choker again.”
“How embarrassing.”
The two talked around the pregnancy for over half an hour until Yolanda Taylor’s client came over and Beth Garcia got up and offered to leave.
Yolanda Taylor had wanted to have lunch with Beth Garcia, but thinking that she was pregnant and might not be able to wait that long, she didn’t ask.
Exiting the store, Beth Garcia got into her car and looked at the sign for Yolanda Taylor’s store with some chagrin.
She came here today to talk to Yolanda Taylor about Gwen Fox’s wedding preparations, but ended up chatting for more than twenty minutes about the dos and don’ts of pregnancy.
The smile on Yolanda Taylor’s face fades as she watches Beth Garcia’s back as she leaves.
When CoCo called out to her from the side, she looked back and smiled, “Miss White, sorry to keep you waiting.”
White waved her hand, “It’s okay, I was the one who came over out of the blue.”
“Let’s talk inside.”
Yolanda Taylor brought her back to her office and ordered CoCo to make two cups of red date tea over.
After seeing Miss White off, the morning passed.
White had come over to talk to her about her wedding ideas, Yolanda Taylor had already had preliminary ideas for her wedding, but when she heard her say that, at least the main color would have to be overturned and changed to another main color.
Yolanda Taylor spent the afternoon looking for information and inspiration, and at six o’clock in the evening, the black Lincoln pulled up in front of the store.
CoCo instantly recognized the man getting out of the car, she had heard from Taryn about Gwen Fox’s previous stalking of Yolanda Taylor in Oman City, and now she didn’t have a good look for him.
Seeing him about to come in, she stepped right up and stopped the man, “How may I help you, sir?”
Her tone was bad and Gwen Fox sensed it, “I’m looking for Yolanda Taylor.”
The man gave her a sideways glance, an inexplicable coldness on his calm face, his deep dark eyes were depressing to look into.
CoCo’s hand trembled, subconsciously took another step back, “It’s already off duty time, our design director is off duty.”
“Well, I’ll pick her up for dinner.”
CoCo was stunned for a moment, the man had already lifted his leg and crossed over her to walk directly in.
“Hey, you can’t-”
She went after him, trying to reach out and pull Gwen Fox back, but the man’s black suit sent chills down her spine, and she withdrew her hand just as it reached out, shaking a little.
In the middle of her walk, Gwen Fox had made it to Yolanda Taylor’s office door.
He knocked on the door, “It’s me.”
Hearing Gwen Fox’s voice, Yolanda Taylor’s face turned a little cold.
She shut down her computer and looked up at him coldly as he pushed his way in, “What are you doing here?”
“Came to pick you up for dinner.”
He walked in and stopped in front of her desk.
“I didn’t promise to have dinner with you.”
At that, she paused, “Not to mention, I don’t have the stomach for dinner with you.”
“I’ll wait for you for ten minutes.”
He looked down at his wristwatch, then stepped aside as if Yolanda Taylor hadn’t just said anything.
He actively ignored her words.
Yolanda Taylor pursed her lips for a second, unplugged the flash drive from inside her computer, and picked up the bag beside her and got right up and headed out the door.
Gwen Fox followed behind her, “Lewis has already booked the restaurant, you can change it if you don’t like it.”
Yolanda Taylor had just reached the door when she stopped and looked back at him, “Gwen Fox, can’t you understand human language?”
