After that night, Yolanda Taylor didn’t see Gwen Fox again.
The person who waited for her outside the studio every night became Dika Rothstein, and both of them tacitly didn’t mention what happened that night again.
Dika Rothstein was a different kind of friend to Yolanda Taylor, and she was the one who accompanied her during the most difficult time when she first woke up.
When she first woke up, she had forgotten everything, she didn’t know who she was, where she came from, or why she was in the hospital. During that time, she was panicked and helpless, and the extensive burns on her back were physically and psychologically torturous to her every night, and if it wasn’t for Dika Rothstein’s company, she wouldn’t have known if she could have made it through.
Dika Rothstein had only told her some superficial things, such as the fact that she used to live in Borden City, and that her mom and dad were buried in Borden City, but why she left Borden City and came to Oman City, Dika Rothstein had never told her. Dika Rothstein never told her.
Another example is the fire, Dika Rothstein only told her that she lost her memory because of the fire, but he didn’t mention why she appeared in the fire, he said he didn’t know either.
Half a month ago she had also tentatively asked Dika Rothstein if she had a lover before she lost her memory, but Dika Rothstein told her that she had, but she died.
She knew that Dika Rothstein had most likely lied, and that although she had lost her memory, she wasn’t blind, and the way Gwen Fox looked at her was clear and understandable, and there was remorse and surprise and love in it.
She has had some dreams off and on over the past month, and there is always a man in her dreams, but she can’t see clearly what that man looks like in her dreams.
But for some reason, she had a hunch that the man was Gwen Fox.
And the Gwen Fox in her dream is completely different from the Gwen Fox now.
Regardless of why Dika Rothstein had kept Gwen Fox from her, she felt that maybe it would be better if she did just pretend that the man in her dream was dead.
She’s afraid to face the truth.
After New Year’s Day, it snows heavily in Oman City.
Yolanda Taylor woke up and realized she had a high fever, her cell phone on her bedside was ringing constantly, she reached over to bring it over, but she bumped it right into the floor.
She was dizzy and her head hurt a little, but the phone had rung more than once, and if she didn’t answer it, Taryn would probably come straight to her house.
She had to endure the difficulty to get up and bend down to pick up the cell phone, and then answered the phone, “Taryn?”
“Sister Yolanda, are you awake? Is everything okay, you don’t sound very well?”
“Nothing, just a little cold.”
She said, coughing twice, “What did you want to see me about?”
“There’s a guest in the store that said she’d love to meet you, her wedding is on March 3rd and she’d like your help with the planning.”
Yolanda Taylor frowned a little, “When did we get our slot?”
“The March 3rd date is open, but you have a local wedding in Oman City on March 1st and one in the outer city on March 5th.”
“That won’t work.”
Taryn hung up the call after understanding what she meant and giving her a few words to take care of herself and remember to take her medication or something like that.
After hanging up the call, Yolanda Taylor raised her hand and touched her forehead, it burned a bit, it shouldn’t be as simple as a low fever.
She just came back from Ritter City yesterday afternoon, and after she came back, she accidentally fell asleep while taking a bath, and when she woke up, she found that the water was a bit cold, and she was a bit sick last night, and she also drank a cup of Vitamin C before she went to bed, but she didn’t expect that after just one night’s sleep, she had a high fever.
This is not just a high fever, the throat is very difficult to swallow, let alone speak.
She forced to endure the difficult to get up and wash some, casually cook a noodle after eating intended to take a taxi to the hospital to register a number.
It was snowing a little hard today, and Yolanda Taylor had forgotten to wear her gloves, so her hands were red from holding the umbrella.
Usually when she goes out, she can see a cab, but now she waited for a long time, but she could not wait for a car.
In the end, she could only call a car online, and by the time she arrived at the hospital, it was already after eleven o’clock.
The nurse took her temperature, thirty-nine degrees seven, a little more powerful, all forty degrees.
The sudden snowfall had caught a lot of people off guard, and the respiratory department was full of patients today.
She sat in the chair and waited drowsily for over forty minutes before it was her turn.
After coming out of the clinic, Yolanda Taylor took her card and went to pay the bill.
The doctor didn’t prescribe an IV for her, took her medication and she left.
It was rush hour, and there were a lot of people waiting for cars in front of the hospital, and a lot of people ordering cars online.
Yolanda Taylor looked at the more than half an hour waiting time and finally exited the online car hailing page.
“Yolanda Taylor, it’s you!”
Yolanda Taylor was already not very clear, suddenly being pulled by someone, her whole body stumbled back two steps, if not for the tree next to her, she almost fell on the ground.
She was much more awake after being pulled so suddenly, and she looked back at the person who had just pulled her, realizing that it was an unfamiliar woman.
Yolanda Taylor frowned a little, “You know me, miss?”
Xenia Davis thought she was mistaken at first, she was chasing Gwen Fox out of the hospital, but Gwen Fox ran so fast that he disappeared just as she got to the hospital entrance.
She was going to call someone to pick her up, but she didn’t expect to see Yolanda Taylor walking towards her with an umbrella.
The face was exactly the same as before, but she walked right past her as if she didn’t recognize her.
She stood behind her for a moment to make sure it was Yolanda Taylor, and then she finally reached out and pulled her back.
But Xenia Davis didn’t expect that Yolanda Taylor would actually ask her who she was?
Xenia Davis pulled the corner of her lips and sneered: ”What are you pretending to be Yolanda Taylor, you’re so proud of yourself right now, aren’t you? Everyone lost and you won!”
Yolanda Taylor couldn’t understand what the woman in front of her was saying at all, and she had even less of a clue as to why the person in front of her was being so malicious towards her.
Yet the woman in front of her called out her name, and she knew her name was Yolanda Taylor.
She couldn’t help but purse her lips for a second, “I’m sorry, I don’t remember all of the things that happened in the past, and I apologize if I’ve ever done anything bad to you in the past.”
She said, bowing to her.
“You-”
Xenia Davis looked at her, Yolanda Taylor’s eyes that really had no semblance of emotion within them except confusion and muddiness.
She was shocked for a moment, “You … really don’t remember anything?”
Yolanda Taylor nodded, “Uh-huh.”
“Well, Gwen Fox do you remember?”
Hearing her mention Gwen Fox, Yolanda Taylor paused, “No.”
Yolanda Taylor had lost her memory.
It was the second thing Xenia Davis had discovered since arriving in Oman City, and she suddenly understood why Gwen Fox had insisted on staying here.
