Yolanda Taylor stiffened and her entire body went straight to the floor.
“Gwen Fox–”
She exclaimed out of nowhere, and everyone around her looked at her.
The man stopped and looked back at her, all that was packed inside those eyebrows was ice.
Yolanda Taylor: “Did you ever love me?”
She said, and suddenly she was on her feet, stumbling towards him, raising her hand and tugging hard on his collar, “Did you ever love me?”
She asked again, as if resigned and as if she had already despaired.
He didn’t say anything, just looked at her coldly, as if he were looking at a madman.
Yolanda Taylor let go of her hand, took two steps back and looked at him and suddenly smiled, “But I loved you.”
She paused for a moment, looking down at something she didn’t know what to look at, tears falling to the floor as she watched everyone around her follow suit for no apparent reason.
“I took your play-acting for real, and even though I knew you were just trying to get back at me, I never hated you.”
“Yet you never loved me. Never!”
She looked like a madwoman, crying and laughing at the same time, “You can take my mom if you want, but Gwen Fox, I’m telling you, as soon as anything happens to my mom, for the rest of my life, I will never forgive you! For the rest of my life!”
After she finished speaking, she raised her hand and wiped her tears hard, turned around and went back to get her suitcase and walked towards the security check.
She wanted to get out of here, she didn’t want to stay here anymore, this place was making her too uncomfortable.
But when she heard the staff at security ask her to show her ID and ticket, Yolanda Taylor was suddenly afraid to go.
She stepped back and ran out of the airport, dragging her suitcase with her.
The airport entrance was crowded with people, she didn’t know who bumped into her, she didn’t stand still, and fell straight onto the suitcase.
Yolanda Taylor felt a sharp pain in her heart, she held the suitcase and stood up again, she wanted to get up and continue to leave, but suddenly she crouched down again.
She let go of the suitcase and straightened up, hugging herself as she crouched and cried.
That was the sight Dika Rothstein saw when he arrived.
He’d never seen Yolanda Taylor in such a state of distress, even back when Petra’s creditors came after her, and she was able to calmly go out with a tub of hot water and kick them out.
He hadn’t seen her cry since he’d known her.
Now she was squatting on that floor, crying with her shoulders shaking, her whole body looking thin and helpless.
Dika Rothstein only felt his heart being hammered hard by something, he lifted his leg and walked over to her, reaching out to take her hand, “What’s the need to cry here?”
Yolanda Taylor acted as if she didn’t hear him, her whole body just buried inside her hands.
Dika Rothstein had no choice but to use brute force to tear her hands away.
As soon as he pulled Yolanda Taylor’s hands away, her eyes, filled with tears, crashed straight into his sight.
Dika Rothstein’s heart throbbed, “It’s okay, I’ll help you get your mom back.”
It took Yolanda Taylor a moment to move at his words, “He doesn’t love me, and he still wants me to live and die.”
“Don’t worry, I won’t let him touch you again.”
He said, reaching out tentatively, “I’ll hold you?”
Yolanda Taylor didn’t say anything as Dika Rothstein picked her up straight away.
She caught her hand on the hem of his shirt, her whole body trembling, “In the beginning, he said he wanted me to be his lover, and I knew that’s all he wanted me to be, so I never believed him, but then, he took me to meet his friends, his playmates, he broke Joel Smith’s hand for me, and beat up those who coveted me, and everyone around me said that we were really, really We were a perfect match. His name was Gwen and mine was Yolanda.”
“But then he told me to behave, so I took his money and watched him with Xenia Davis, and that’s when I realized I was the only one who was naive enough to think that he loved me, too.” “I knew he didn’t love me, I knew it, but I didn’t know that from the beginning to the end, he was just trying to set me up, wanting me to live and die, wanting my family to die.”
“Dika Rothstein, I’ve never been in so much pain.”
She said word for word, all the blood and tears she’d been through all this time.
Dika Rothstein looked down at her as tears slid down her cheeks and dripped just onto his sweater.
A second tear soon followed.
More and more tears fell, and the sweater was so cool from the tears that it crashed downward onto his arm, as if it could enter one’s heart.
Yolanda Taylor didn’t say another word, but her eyes, usually so bright, stared blankly into nowhere.
Dika Rothstein carried Yolanda Taylor into the car, the driver saw this appearance, did not dare to say a word.
“Drive.”
As soon as the words left his mouth, the car drove slowly.
Yolanda Taylor came back to her senses a little, she moved a little and pushed him, “I’ll sit by myself.”
Dika Rothstein didn’t give her a hard time, letting go and setting her aside.
Yolanda Taylor leaned back and inclined her head to look out the car window without speaking or moving.
He inclined his head at her, “Don’t worry, I’ll have someone bring your mom right back.”
Hearing his words, Yolanda Taylor only moved slightly.
She inclined her head to look at him and pursed her lips, “You can’t bring it back.”
“The Fox family may be a big family, but they also have a lot of leverage, Lamar Fox is not a simple one, he won’t let Gwen Fox run amok.”
Yolanda Taylor didn’t say another word, she closed her eyes while the hand on her body clenched her palm in a deadly grip.
Jerome Perot had been wondering what the hell was going on with Gwen Fox towards Yolanda Taylor, and he was finally relieved to hear that he had brought someone to stop Yolanda Taylor early in the morning.
He was expecting to hear that Gwen Fox and Yolanda Taylor had made up, but he didn’t want to hear that Gwen Fox had taken Yolanda Taylor’s mom.
Rumor has it all over Borden City that Dika Rothstein is going out of her way to offend the Fox family over Yolanda Taylor, but despite that, Gwen Fox is still holding onto Petra.
Upon hearing the news, Jerome Perot’s entire being froze for a moment.
He ran to FG angrily, and without waiting for Gwen Fox’s secretary to inform him, he directly pushed open the door of Gwen Fox’s office: “Gwen Fox, are you crazy? What are you holding Yolanda’s mom for? Are you trying to push Yolanda into someone else’s arms?”
Gwen Fox, who was answering the phone, heard his words, hung up the phone and looked at him with a sneer, “I’m not trying to push her into someone else’s arms, I’m trying to push her into the abyss!”
Jerome Perot was stunned, “You – don’t like Yolanda?”
“Like?”
He laughed suddenly as if he’d heard a joke.
“Her father killed both my parents with a DUI, and you’re asking me if I like her? Would you like Beth Garcia if you were in her shoes?!”
“But she had nothing to do with it, Yolanda was a victim too!”
Jerome Perot found the information too much to take in for a moment.
“Her last name is Taylor, Jerome Perot, and as long as her last name is Taylor, this whole thing, has everything to do with her!”
“You’re going to regret this Gwen Fox!”
Jerome Perot thought Gwen Fox was crazy, he never knew his best friend was such a paranoid person.
“Regret?” He snorted, “Then wait for the day I regret it.”
